FUCK yeah I feel the same.  2 hours goes by in front of the hood and I don't even notice cause I'm having such a good time.

Wish I could say the same. My favorite part of growing is harvesting several tubs with full, beautiful canopies. Agar work is tedious :frown:

I'm with you on this one bro harvesting is the best part. Makes all the hard work worth it to me.

That, and watching my jars colonize over night using a BRF slurry!

Now that's a good day!

I didn't say it was the best part I just agreed it was therapeutic and that I loved it.  Music, ganja, science.  Yeah.  :dancer:

thanks LLL, its 5 quarts oats and 1 brick of coir, thats it. i need to get some bigger trash bags for my liners. these things are just too small and result in wonky shapes cause they dont fully fill out the tub.

I dont quite remember what size bags i was getting they were blue clear and they fit perfect in a 66qt tub no cutting nothing and had enough to grab the corners

most of my stuff is oats and cvg, i use alot of rice bran 50lb bag in place of brf cause its more nutritious and cheaper for my pp5's, i have one shoebox with 4 grated cakes, rest are oats, i pc my oats to hydrate them, I get a bunch of water boiling in pc, dump rinsed oats in, bring up to 17 psi as quckly as possible, pc for 5 mins and then immediately cool the pc off in the sink to bring the pressure down, dump in strainer til mostly dry, jar up and pc for 2 hours, i let pressure come down on its own for everything but hydrating, they dont come out gummy this way for me even without some gypsum added, but i add some anyway usually

I agree that you shouldn't be stressing your pc out like that, but I'm more concerned with oats clogging the vent tube. good thing we have over pressure plugs!

hasnt in about 30 tries or so, i imagine if u used too much but most ive cooked is 4.5 qts in the beginning which made way more than 10 qt jars worth, now i do about 3 qt containers filled pretty full then double height on the water, working out so far, ever so tiny bit of white inside the oats sometimes but they're hydrated, and will finish cooking in the 2 hour pc time

Hey family, I'm in the middle of my first isolation process and wanted to share this. All PE.

Most of those are from a ms agar plate. These are fourteen transfers in.  Any thing marked cl-... Is from a clone.

Do you think I can isolate on my next transfer on some of these?

If anyone wants an up close picture of any of these just ask. I'll back light it and post it. I'd love to know what you folks think.

Peace and Love, verum.

They all still have quite abit of genetics in them id say if you were to take really small transfers you could probably get an iso from a couple in maybe 7 to 10 more transfers

all but 2 or 3 of those look ready for grain. I gotta know, why do you want an isolate? and why do you want 34 plates of PE isolated seperately?

jumping in head first, without an appreciation for the intense genetic diversity of a drop, I waited until I saw what I thought to be sectoring and started expanding plates. I was thinking I'd isolate much quicker and was just grabbing up the best bits each time.

Most of these are in grain that has been spawned to cvg in shoeboxes and monos.  I always throw out shit plates, Transfer the best looking pieces to a new plate and put the best looking sections to grain.

The reason for wanting an isolate is to experience the fullness of it all, while learning with every step and hopefully locking down some amazing genetics. I'd like to end up with forty isolates and fruit them all. Storing the best genetics on slants.

yes. that culture turned aggressive because it's scared, it's sprinting for the finish, yet it's likely out of stamina
