I wouldn't say that much faster, but a more even colonization. I wouldn't argue superior though. I don't know the exact number but the amount of grains per gram in millet is insane. I notice a difference in recovery and speed from g2g in straight millet and straight oats. This is only my second time mixing them though.

I would assume that millet is faster considering more grain kernels per volume, but that's purely based on assumption

My plan is to use an LI'd master WBS jar when it's fully colonised (so I can see any suspicious wet spots or bacterial symptoms) and putting it into 6 jars of oats. Should I only fill the oat jars halfway if I'm gonna use a 1:6 master jar?

thanks LLL, its 5 quarts oats and 1 brick of coir, thats it. i need to get some bigger trash bags for my liners. these things are just too small and result in wonky shapes cause they dont fully fill out the tub.

Love how clean the growth is on this APE culture. The genetics seem to be well edtablished on this, like six other cultures I started from spores the same time as this one, the APE has been really aggressive and organized. Put some to grain last week so we'll see how it performs.
