I don't personally beatbox but I can't help but love it. There are some ridiculously talented modern beatboxers out there with immensely diverse styles. Beatboxing seems to be picking up pace and gaining popularity lately. I just like the idea that they carry their instrument with them everywhere and it feels like a less restricted expression of musical freedom. It also brings together people from all over the world to compete and learn from each other.
I know most people would find beatboxing dull or childish but this shit keeps me going, I get down with it.
Here are a few examples of some cool stuff I've listened to recently. I'll mark the videos to start at the best part so you don't have to watch the entire videos.
MTS(Poland) t=7s
NaPoM(USA) World Champion t=5m20s
HISS(Korea) Should probably watch this whole battle, it's nucking futs. t=3m13s
D-low(U.K) t=7s
Alexinho(France) t=3m17s
Show-Go(Japan) t=1m2s
Reeps One(UK) t=7m41s
Looks like time stamps don't work on Shroomery. Sorry.

I love beatboxing. One of my favorites is Matisayhu.
But my original favorite is the classic RnB love track (forgot the name) by KRS One i think. He blended the beat with the melody. I mean talk about skill man. Unbelievable.
My other favorite is Dub FX. He uses a looper and effects pedal to make tracks using just his voice and beatboxing. Its genius and sounds amazing.
I did some beatboxing at home using a looper. Fun stuff. I wasnt that good but it sure is fun to play around with.

Love Dub FX too, and all sorts of loop station masters like Saro, and MB14. Never heard of the other 2, I'm going to check them out now, thanks Logical.

Some people are definitely ridiculously good at it. I'd imagine that it takes a lot of control of the muscles in ones mouth.. I couldn't do it for the life of me haha.

I always thought it was really hard, but it interested me so I just wanted to learn a few of the coolest sounds, so I watched a tutorial on liprolls and took a 2 hour walk from my house to the river, and by the time I got back home I could liproll really good. I read that it can take up to a month to learn liprolls.
