Smallest but most effecient Incubator thread

Well, as I get ready to get some jars going, I realized that I have not yet figured out an incubator method to use. I have read about incubators such as the bins and such, but was wondering if those creative shroomery minds could get going. The goal of this thread is to try to "design" an incubator that works for 5 OR LESS jars. Try to keep the design small, so it fits in smaller spots. This will help newer growers (such as myself) to create small incubators that still work. This also could get some new ideas into the shroomery so that we all can start talking about a new kind of incubator! Thanks to everyone and good luck coming up with the next design. MAYBE I will even through in a cool suprise if someone goes extra far and creates a great idea!

small cardboard box (ceral or something)
jars inside...wrap a towel around and put it in a corner or on a vent (if heat is blowing)
afoaf has had success just wrapping the box with a towel and let it sit in a closet.

whats wrong with the tub in tub? dont try and reinvent the wheel here. you can use smaller tubs if size is an issue. 2 tubs - 7 bucks, fish tank heater 12 bucks, water .02

Plus the smaller the total mass of the incubator, the more susceptible it is to temperature fluctuations in a dynamic environment..

Two different size buckets work well. you can use a medium size bucket 5 gal and a large 10 gal bucket (not sure on these exactly jsut buy two buckets that fit nicely inside of one another) inside of each other. WOrked great for 6 cakes, its relatively cheap and can throw it in a corner or something. jsut my .02

For only 5 jars just stick them in one of your cloths drawers in the back under your cloths. No incubator needed. Ive put a jar or 2 in my draw several times when my incubator wasnt full enought to keep it going. They do just fine. Doesnt get any smaller than that.

I don't even use an incubator. Just keep the room comfortably warm, say maybe 75-78 degrees

Fresh313 I didnt say "dont use the tub in tub method" I was simply trying to see if we could make something else smaller and that works reasonably well, so it not only keep peoples option up, it just is a cool way to expirement here. I would re-read the thread next time and dont start running your mouth, especially since your quite new here. Peace.
