using marmite instead of nutritional yeast in PDYA agar recipe?
    #24588404 - 08/29/17 04:29 PM (6 years, 5 months ago)

Hello all!

I will be using this agar recipe i found somewhere:

Potato Dextrose (Yeast-extract) Agar (PD(Y)A)
broth from boiling 150 grams sliced potatoes in 500ml water for 30 minutes(add water to 500ml, About 2 cups + 1 oz)
9 g agar agar
7 grams dextrose(glucose, or 10 ml honey or corn syrup 2tsp )
1 gram brewers yeast or yeast-extract (optional)

Can I use 1 gram of marmite spread instead of nutritional yeast or brewers yeast? It says yeast extract on the bottle. I am new and this is my first time.

Any help will be appreciated.
