Melted holes are messy and I'm always worried they'll poke through the mp tape. And cleaning every single hole of the melted plastic bits is not a breeze

My drill is corded, super heavy, and doesn't have a slow speed. It's not hard, but when you have to do like 3 packs of plates its annoying. And these were much cheaper than a new drill

I use a 7 dollar soldering iron I do about 20 pp5 shooter cups from dollar tree with a melted hole in the side in about 3 minutes. Then microtape, reusable too. 10 for a dollar with really good lids, half size of a glad mini round but you can do a shit ton of agar in a 23 qt presto. You get a real nice keeper then transfer to a pasty plate

Thanks on that mr Sumshoo, I have a full complement of holesaws, but this looks like fun and one tool replaces many

I just covers up the carpet. I hate carpet in my lab room or any room. It's just dirty and you can't clean it.

for what reason?
Storing LC longterm?
Or maybe just a culture dropped into a jar of water for longterm storage...?
Seems like you could just leave little room for air and it would do the same thing as vacuum sealing.
