Fasting and meditation * 1
    #24540068 - 08/08/17 08:38 PM (6 years, 8 months ago)

Hi all,

I have been consistently meditating for a while now and have been reading more and more about the benefits of fasting for one's practice.

Has anyone attempted this at any level? I am thinking of fasting for an entire day at this stage and to see if this has any effect.

Share your experiences!

It's quite a lovely process, in the process(depending on purity) you are left with a profound clear burning awareness very similar feeling to that of LSD near the end of the first day, your energy and focus begins to increase, aura appears around people and objects, feels like you have no need to sleep, infinite, pure, raw, creative, energy open flood gate.

It gets better from there

Yes, a day.. Is good..

Most important thing in spiritual life is protection in the beginning, from outside influences... To be able to be unaffected by them -- so in this case, relating to fasting and spiritual life, to learn from others, but with a state of self-faith primarily - I.e., not placing one's faith outside of oneself, -- each of us knows ourself, very much send best -- and so forth...

Indeed the most integral aspect of the spiritual path.  Having said this, yepp... It's very good -- it's also good to eat as you fee that you wish..

The ideal is very simple, and natural... To reach the ideal state is related to ease, natural, free and effortless -- yet a of of conscious effort is required to reach superconscious illumination.

Self mastery is the main thing, peacefulness, kindness, love toward all beings -- these bring great power, and are important to reaching levels...

So its important to fast in a state of love.. Of freedom of spirit of soul..

One can definitely get to any state one wishes - and it is indeed, the most important thing in life, to grow spiritually with oneself and others, as to grow in spiritual life / consciousness is much more important than any other thing -- for in this way we can help transform the world..

Self-realization or such -- peace and happiness and perfect health..

One can be anything, but if one is happy, wise, kind and peaceful, those are the greatest attainment.

On fasting -- one interesting thing is Taoist, who eat one meal a day, only..

It isn't that difficult if one gives it all -- and one secret of this and all things is that by regularly undertaking a much more difficult thing, the moderately difficult ones become much more easy.

I've written a lot and maybe so much, as mentioned, self faith and trust is primary, comes before and after all else.

Many best wishes, and peace and joy wished to you,

And happiness and joy and peace in your experience.

May your day be filled with goodness.

Peace and joy -
Once in a lifetime

Boy do i need to catch up on my meditation.

I have heard that eating excessivly, too much sexual activity and other things alike do interfere with meditation.

I think that mundane things, like the above tend to hold you down on the physical plane with every day ego and ordinary consciousness, thus putting weight on your elevation through meditation

Setting aside the consideration of 'spiritual' benefits, just simply think of what happens when you stop eating on a physical level: the stomach and the gastrointestinal tract are able to receive a break from their constant activity. The result of this is that enzymes that are normally designated to assist in the digestion of food are instead able to 'focus' on cellular regeneration and organ repair. Take into account that this influx of enzymes to bodily maintenance would be beneficial to someone eating a healthy diet and then consider how the average person likely consumes an excess of food for their needs and that that food is refined and processed (raw foods, like fruit, have their own digestive enzymes which assist the body in their own digestion!), making it even more taxing on the body to assimilate.

It is not hard to justify experimentation and utilization of fasting from even just a physical standpoint; take the mental and 'spiritual' benefits as a nice bonus.

As far as personal experience, I find fasting to be incredibly grounding and happens to allow for insight into compulsive behaviors (and not just consumption of food); seeing or feeling physiological impulses and tendencies almost from third-person.

I meditate every day.    I don't fast, but I'd like to try it.

I believe fasting would strengthen one's understanding that urges and desires of all types, including hunger,
are just thoughts. These thoughts are cognitive requests for action, but don't have to be gratified.

More so than fasting you need to cleanse the parasites out of your body, literal worms, eggs, bugs that are feeding off of you and prodding your every desire and craving. Even feeding off your low vibration emotions, the archon parasites has a hold on most individuals. When I did the cleanse I literally shat out a bunch of bugs, eggs and worms then I was released to the true heavens of how humans are suppose to be when we are not infected and have disease from eating meat and processed foods.

Clean them out, you won't have any anxiety depression, cravings or anything, you will return to your pure state of Light.

Instead of abstaining from food you can be a minimalist and only eat one type of food for a set time like only apples for an entire week.
