Bolete specification/what a bunch of Boletus
    #24568189 - 08/20/17 07:53 PM (6 years, 7 months ago)

Habitat:
Hardwood forest, northern new england, growing off beech tree roots.

Gills:
White pores

Stem:
Thick, firm, slight reticulation

Cap:
Light brown, soft, round

Spore print color:
Pending...

Bruising:
A slightly darker shade of itself, no other notable bruising

Other information:
I took a very small nibble and no bitterness, just a light pleasant mushroom flavor.

So I'm almost certain this is an edible bolete, im just wondering if any of you heads out there can tell me which it may be. Thanks peeps.

Fried them with some garlic, and tossed into a parsley mustard green chicken ramen with chives and thyme. Turned out pretty darn good.
