First time advice

A friend and I are planning our first psychedelic experience this month and we will be taking 1.75 grams of shrooms each. First off, is that a good first timer dose? What level trip would it likely be for two 150 lbs males with no tolerance? Second of all, do different strains produce different experiences?

If you have zero tolerance from consumption, and you aren't naturally tolerant then 1.75 should be a proper introduction

Na, take 2.5 grams.


1 gram if you want to dip your toes in the water.

2.5 grams if you want a normal trip, a normal mushroom experience.

3.5 grams if you want a seriously intense experience with the possibility of ego death.


If you're a first timer then there's absolutely no reason to take a dosage any different from the 3 doses stated above. I trust you'll make the appropriate choice. 2.5 is the perfect "preview" dosage imo. Half an eighth wont prepare you for the higher amounts, the only thing a half eighth will do is somewhat demystify your most basic misconceptions about what tripping on a psychedelic drug actually is. Same with a gram but taking a single gram is still a lot better than taking a gram and a half or something which usually just leads to weird and anxious experiences.

Now a days, I won't take anything less as my experiences on 1-2.5g have been really hit and miss.

1.75 grams is decent IF the shrooms are potent or mostly potent.

Different strains do produce slightly trips, but its very subtle. Set and setting play a bigger role than strain.

Species thou, quite a difference there.
