I think I've lost the magic

I used to trip so hard on shrooms. It used to only take half 1/8 to get me trippin, but ever since I found a hook up who could anytime/anywhere for me at a good price I have been doing shrooms a lot more often, although I always waited ATLEAST 7 days because I always knew tolerance was an issue. Well, this worked for a while and I was trippin balls like once a week every week, but recently I haven't really been able to trip out as much as I used to. I've probably shroomed about 50 times since September 2003. Well, tomorrow I have an 1/8 and I haven't shroomed in 2 weeks, so I don't think tolerance will be a issue. Any tips as to how I can gain the 'magic' back? Anyone else have this problem?

Do you get anything out of your trips other than "cool visuals dood"?
They are spiritual and mind blowing for me. I take a couple months to absorb the message before I indulge again.

yeah. Recently all that I have got out of trips was like really spiritual and in-depth thoughts, but I miss the visuals and I want those more! heh

5c. The Eraserhead Syndrome
The mushrooms can be fun. One may feel like eating them every day. A - not cool, B - not good. A mental/physical tolerance builds up quite fast: usually three or four times with 7 day intervals cause diminished effect and notably less divine trip. I'd recommend visiting the spiritworld 4 to 10 times a year, for the freshness and divinity of it. Most of us know an acid- or pot-head - a drug abuser. I call acid/ mushroomheads Eraserheads (seen the movie?), as they are often bit paranoid and manic-depressive and dullheaded. It's easy to get bad vibes off psychedelics - just do them the way you drink alcohol - without respect or any care. So - remember what the foreword says, and use the consciousness of turbocharged-monkeybrain we all have. And if you only want to get your brain fucked up there are better substances for that in the world.

you just trip way to often. wait a few months and don't start tripping once a week again then but do it only once in a while to keep it special. smoke weed everyweek or something :smirk:

if you wait longer in between trips, you'll forget what its like more and more, so when you "return" you get that "oh yeah THIS is why I like these things" feeling instead of "damn I'm not tripping very hard.. stupid mushrooms.. i shoulda taken more.. WEAK!"

Although i dont endorse doing it that often, im very jelous you have the funds and the ability to get it that often.


Too often expenses get in the way for me.

maybe 50 times since sept '03...
and it's, ummm, march of '04...
that's a lot of trippin, dude...
mos' def slow down to once a month or less... maybe like 6 to 10 times per year...
do you meditate on a regular basis?
do you take niacinamide (& other vitamins like vit C, & maybe amino acids like tryyptophan & phenylalanine, minerals like Ca & Mg, etc...) post-trip to help re-establish a "ground-state) ?
do you do other drugs (pot, salvia, mdma, opiates, research chems, yaddayadda...) ?

but the best bet is to take a couple/few month break (from all indolic- & phenethlamine- based drugs at least!), for sure...
you gotta pace yourself if you want to be able to enjoy these things when you are in your 50s or 60s or older, mmmmkay ?

Make sure to read up on the Syrian Rue because you can't take with certain meds/food.

Tripping every weekend defintly made the magic go away. It also left some lingering oddities in my head i did not enjoy.

You are tripping way to often i think. Dont trip more then once a month. I wont trip more then 2x a year anymore.

50 times in 7 months is too much either way. I am sure shamans or someone like that trip way more than that but he is no shaman that lives in the middle of the jungle. He lives in civilization and needs to be somewhat coherent and he needs to respect the fungus.

90 plus some of them. Still tripping even then. Didn't find any health problems with tripping 35+ times a year for their entire lives.
