Yes,  "drunk myco work" is redundant.

Last nights Tamp transfers went so smooth. My most confident still air session yet. Unfortunately, it ruined me for sleep, and I was a groggy bastard today, I can't wait to get psilocybin in me to combat sleep. I have a lot of shit to do.

Hey Lotkid, do you always run the AA on a glass (ceramic heater?) stovetop?

I've heard the AA manuals state not to use them with glass stovetops, and am looking at a 921 but have a glass top here, so I'm figuring out what the risk is of running it on the stovetop... If need be, I'll definitely run a gas burner for it, it's just that I don't want to find out the need by means of broken glass...

And do you have more than that AA? That's so much grain!

My AA915 is just fine on that stove top. I even run that big stock pot for my grain boil. And you see how much I boil in there at once. And yes I have more than that 915. I also have an AA 75x. All that grain is going into bags and into the 75x. I might have to boil some more for this cycle, we'll see.

I'm still unsure about running the 921 on it... Oh well, don't have it yet anyway, and when I do it might just be more fun to have a separate gas burner for it anyway, gives me more freedom in where I'll run it, and at the end of the day, the heat helps heat the room I'm in, so in winter it'll be cosy to have it running, and in summer I'll be able to take it outside with a separate burner. I love me some outside cooking when it's nice out, so that would be a bonus...

I'm leery of running a propane burner indoors without adequate ventilation. I mean, I'll use a small propane torch to heat up a nail but, that's a different story.

I honestly think a 921 would be fine. At least on the stove here. My grain boil is probably just as heavy.

Gotta boil a little more grain. Only made 5 1/2  5 qt bags.

I really want to get some bags. I have this strange old like 30-32Qt PC. It will hold 12 Qt jars 9 standing up and 4 laid on side. But there is still a lot of space around the bottom 9, but not enough to fit another jar. I honestly think I could get 8 bags of grains in the bitch.

Propane burners indoors =

Edit to add,  also, Lot, one collender equals one bag @ about 5 quarts.

Hammie! What's up buddy?

Edit: Yeah, I'm seeing that. I loaded them pretty heavily, that's why I got the extra half a bag. I'll get my prep for the 75x down to a T. It'll just take a few times. I'm also using zip ties instead of my impulse sealer. :super:

Why would a propane burner inside be a problem? There's a difference between a burner meant for outside use and inside use (inside has to have a safety that stops the gas when the flame goes out, at least that's how it is here), and as long as you respect that difference and don't run it in a closed off space (there's literally always some ventilation going on in my house) I don't really see the issue??

I've cooked on propane burners indoors for years without a problem, and I'm the kind of guy who'll cook for the whole afternoon from time to time...

And :whathesaid:

The key part is having ventilation. Failure to ventilate can have you breathing in stuff we don't want to breath in. I am fairly sure it produces carbon monoxide along with the carbon dioxide, BUT I could be wrong.

I think you are definitely right, especially if you're burning with a yellow flame, but if the burner is adjustable the point is to get a blue flame. And ventilation is definitely a must, but I've always considered that sort of a "goes without saying"...

Of course there are always the people who don't consider it like that.. Overpopulation makes me care less...

I run three at a time. In the basement. Ventilation is good. But I won't lie. I've used them to heat the house as of lately.

It takes all kinds.

I shouldnt say heat the house but did a few cycles without ventilation.

Probably how my wife got sick

Knowing now what I know. I'd rather have one 75x sterilizer, and use bags then have 2 AA 941s on propane burners and use quarts

Hey, as long as they're running, might as well use the heat. But yeah, closing off the ventilation could mean ending up dead.. What was up with your wife? Nausea n headaches?

Some days of the week, my better half doesn't come home after work due to next day work places being closer to her folks' house. She's veggie and I don't eat meat all that often, so I'm more likely to make a meat stew when she's away. When my stew is finished, I'll often scoop out a plate to eat right away, then wrap a towel around the rest and put it under the covers where my feet will be a few hours later. Gotta love granny's advice on a cold night...

My midnight mycology from last night:

:flyagaric:

Thought I'd give the extracting jar cap the right look...
