trichocereus ID?
    #2449201 - 03/18/04 08:53 PM (20 years, 14 days ago)

I found this trichocereus at Home Depot & the species wasn't labeled. I've found pachanoi there before. Anyone have any idea what species this is judging by the pics? Is there anywhere I could go that would help me in IDing the cactus (if not here)?

That's no trichocereus, it's not even active.

Agreed - what you have there is a nice looking geometrizans. I recommend that you graft *something* to it...

Strange, I wonder why Home Depot labeled it as Trichocereus? Well, whatever. This page at erowid: http://www.erowid.org/plants/cacti/cacti_guide/cacti_guide_myrtillo.shtml
says it contains mescaline. Is that true, and if so, what sort of content? I'll of course keep it regardless of what it is, though its a bit of a bummer its not san pedro.

no mescaline in myrtillocactus no matter what paper says there is.
not in significative ammounts.
i guess home depot has made a mistake, you can ask them to give you a real trich or your money back. =)

I'm on a slow conneciton, could someone possible grab those and thumbnail them, or upload them or something. I still haven't even seen what the cacti look like. The pictures are obnoxiously huge.
