Do you heat your agar at all before PCing either on the stove or in a microwave to evenly distribute the dry ingredients?

Totally unecessary. There is absolutely no reason to mix, heat or strain your ingredients/water before going in the PC if running anything standard....PDA, MEA, DFA, etc....
2%MEA - tap water added to dry ingredients and PC'd for 25min at 15psi:

I put the ingredients in the media bottle then boil a couple cups of water in the kettle, takes like three minutes, then pour and cap it, shake and foil and into PC.
I found I get some sediment if I don't mix with hot water initially. I started off doing the boil, shake, boil, shake in the microwave but the screen on mine is cloudy so I always end up making a mess lol. I filtered it once but didn't seem to make a difference. I love clear agar in a petri dish.

Mixing grain and bulk a bit too vigorously. Lost about half a pint jar worth of colonized grain.

After spawning, how long did it take for you to see knots? Also clone some of them bitches! I hear it is best to clone if you wish to grow for fruits.

1.5 liters of spawn to 4 liters of substrate per 14 liter tray gave about 1000 grams fresh combined on the two trays. 16 days from innoculating the substrate to harvest.
very nice.. and honestly, quite the set up you got going there.

Its day 7 or 8 I think. MS, the jars were 5 months or so old
