LotKid's PE Grow-Along

Brought to you by THE TRIBE
So a bunch of people recently got PE swabs from one of my grows and the suggestion of a grow along thread was proposed.
Here it is.
Feel free to post your progress here. Let us know what worked for you and what didn't work for you. I'm sure that info will be helpful to others who haven't worked with this variety or worked with getting swabs to germinate on agar. (which can sometimes be tricky)
I'm looking forward to seeing peoples results.
Here's the parents: Let's see some offspring.

2nd round of a swab attempt using Lot's advice, wasn't satisfied with how these plates turned out, too soft.

Opinions? Working on isolating a clean plate

I dragged the tip this morning streaked 4 pda plates, used Pastywhyte's recipe About to go scrape the tip and maybe cut a little off over a couple plates just to see what may come about First time for swabs and pe so thanks for that What have you done to get them to germinate?

Bayer, it's a little hard tell. Give it a little more time and see how it looks.
I saw HamHead had some nice germination going on maybe he'll show up and let us know what method he used.
Germs looks like he's getting some germination from the streaking method.
Steevo, sounds like you have a good plan there. Keep us posted.
I'm interested in seeing the different methods used for getting the swabs to germ on agar and what methods work the best. I think that info should help the overall success rate.

I need to nock up some more plates still but Im down to share my progress
I went for a one hit wonder and had a bacterial mess using the flicking method. Ill try another flick, a dry swab, sticking some cotton in the agar, and wet swab tomorrow
I'm going to try and stick an end in some sterile honey-water and see what happens. hoping it will help germinate so I can clean on agar later

Wait a sec! I already tried a LC (M10 Broth) and I got nothing but bacteria, just so you know... I forgot to mention one set of plates was nothing but streaks of bacteria, but LotKid thinking on his toes did both ends of the swab he sent me--the other end was bacteria free.
Sticking and scraping cotton off to the agar is what you see above.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to try it either way but good to know about the other side not having any bacteria at all

I followed instructions you posted in the giveaway thread. Mixed up agar and tried shaving some swab with a flamed/cooled xacto knife. It was tough getting a small amount of cotton off and two plates literally look as if the whole swab was cut off and dropped in the plate. The others with small amounts were buried in agar, no signs of growth, yet. Honestly, I feel I got really lucky with one plate and was able to get samples onto clean plates.

Original plate shown first.

I swiped 3 dishes with my swab 2 with one end and another with the other end. Got a lot of bacteria in one dish, and some weird light barely noticeable growth on the others. I transfered the weird growth to a new batch of plates I think the last were not nutritious enough. I'm hoping that works but if not I saved the swab I will put the cotton from one end on a no pour dish and do a hot pour over it. I'm determined to get this PE going. For some reason it has always got the better of me but not this time lol.

I'm in...I'll be taking and testing clones over the next few days as well as taking swabs and/or prints to give away as this PE has been producing some spores.

@HamHead I saw the plate you posted in the POTD thread. Sounds like you made transfers. How are they going?

Nice! Good to see you here crispy. I've got a few clones on agar. Right now this is the most interesting one.

@Bayer Glad to hear it bro! Hope your transfers go well.
