I bought one for $25 and one for $37 so I'll let yall know if I get them. Both say between 7/28-8/14.
I buy something from Amazon on average like once a day and I've never been scammed or even dissatisfied. Two packages out of hundreds were one day late as well and one of them was just last week, I have confidence that it's not a rip off

Yeah, they don't ship to my country though :nonono:

But I'm on the fence about presto's anyway. I wanna convert to sterilizer and frankly, I hate the thought of those presto sealing rings. My sealing ring is a way sturdier kind and I've never had to replace it, knock on wood, so when I upgrade, I think I'll be going with metal to metal seam.. Plus money is tight right now

I was looking at sterilizers last night too. I showed it to my girl and she was like "i'd be much more willing to help you with your stuff if i don't have to deal with a bomb on the stove anymore"

I saw an AA25x on craigslist for $350 from a tattoo shop only used once, would that be big enough for our needs? Can't find a quart capacity on any sites

I think that the 25x is 25 quart, the X is for sterilizer.

I'm pretty sure the AA921 and 925 can only do 10 quarts, 7 standing and 3 on their side

So the 75x does 75 quarts?! Well that's well worth the $900

I think the numbers refer to its volume capacity so a 75 would be able to hold 75 quarts of liquid, however that doesn't translate to 75 quart jars due to the voids created between jars and what not.

Yea but I looked last night and there was several for sale under bogus ass, NEW, names like sasfjbf. You could tell they just randomly typed some letters. Looked to me like someone was making fakes post to attempt to get a store to price match like people did a couple years back with the PS4.

It's total volume, yes, I misunderstood you Germs, I thought you meant actual volume quarts instead of quart jars. So the 75x will not do 75 quart jars, but I think you could fill it up with a bunch of spawn bags and get it up to 55-60 real quarts of grain per run.. Bags take a lot longer to sterilize though..

Here is a true confession. I am rather but hurt, LOL, that my Pan cambo pinning on cased agar is not getting more attention. This is rather remarkable to me and few have taken interest. I do not know if it really isn't that interesting or if the recent events of the board are just drawing more attention.

I don't have any Pans and I still thought that post was frickin awesome. Every new technique someone discovers furthers the field.

I confess that the improper usage of confession in this thread irks me.

I also confess I might be abusing the actual substance itself by eating it before going out with my family. I dont think they notice anything different (if my pupils widen I wear shades) and its always low doses, but I kinda feel like this isnt kosher. also, last night was the first time I actually tried meditating in the dark. Not life changing, my dose was probably too low and my tolerance too high, but was really fun nonetheless. Keen to try that some more.

If it feels wrong for you, it probably is. But that doesn't have to mean you can't try it. You did, you found out it's not right, good for you. IF you act on the lessons learned :p

I confess my 1st attempt at pasteurizing sucks. I pasteurized some wood shavings for my oysters like 2 weeks back and the culture is growing slow and the bags stink, BAD. One is colonizing better than the other but I am thinking about throwing them both out.

***EDIT O yea, I also have like 26Qt of shitty spawn to toss out. Some may be usable, but I am tired of spawning shit, and my LGT LC is cleaner than the one used for these. I think I will focus most of my future work on agar with less spawning until I get things better. I can always do my cakes till I get shit worked out. Bacterial LC seems to do OK on cakes compared to grains alone.

Maybe drop LC's all together until you get shit straight. That shit ain't helping you. The only way LC's are liquid gold, is when they're pristine clean.

Did you add anything to the wood shavings?

I soaked them in water with gypsum for like 5-7 days. Strained then dumped into a pot of water at 160f. I maintained temps between 140 and 160f for 1.5hr. Those 2 were always on agar, never made an LC out of that. Guess, seeing as how I am new to oyster mycelium, they had contamination when they went to the jars of oats. Guess I need to figure out what healthy oyster mycelium looks like.

I work mostly agar to grain, but do LC on the side to kind of see how things are going for my skill. My 1st LC's are the ones that gave me all the quarts to dispose of. I have yet to see contamination from my Lucy LC. LC is just something I do for the fuck of it on the side of my agar to grains.

I am slowing way down on spawning, will still do some but not as much, while I get shit cleaned up and in order. My basement has way to many mold spores down there and I got to get shit cleaned up. I can keep myself in plenty of shrooms from cakes while I get shit worked out.

I also figure if this shit has been frustrating me then it is time to slow down and re-examine how I do things.

So it's 41 quarts then? I thought the numbers were for the capacity with the sterilizers too?

Checked the site, yeah, they're not THAT big

But 41 qt is still quite the monster...
