Are any of these subs!? :)
    #24488853 - 07/17/17 06:12 AM (9 months, 28 days ago)

Went observing (not picking as I am not confident in my skills of identification yet!) in the Adelaide Hills region.

Found the following and was looking for an ID

I definitely underestimated how difficult shroom hunting is! But it was such a thrill and I am really looking forward to going out again

#1 could be a sub, but make sure the stem bruises blue.

Thanks!! Another question; is it best to hunt the day after a big rain or is it ok to go on the weekend even though it didn't rain for 2 or 3 days prior?

its good to hunt any day , but if you're going for subs then yes straight after rain or during the rain. Temps below 14 degrees are the best days to stroll around

I agree that it's good to hunt any day. However subs can take up to two weeks to grow from pin to fully mature. Bush patches tend to produce flushes of pins during heavy rain and pin solitary/fewer mushrooms through weeks of consistent dew and cool temps. Hope that makes sense.

I'll head out this weekend anyway and have a search. I'm new to all this so it's all good experience

Especially when the humidity is high.
