You need to read up on them. Learn what they look like, where they live, what they like to eat, and what time of year they fruit. Mushroom hunting is a patience game until you learn the ropes and learn to hunt more efficiently.

I am not allowed to go far away I have a woods behind me but full of ticks, If I go hunting there Ill come out with like 20 ticks. Any ideas?

Honestly ticks aren't as scary as people seem to think. Yes some species can carry lime disease but typically its the rarest species of tick that do. And It takes twenty four to thirty six hours of having one embedded in you before the disease is contaracted. Or if improperly removed by using oils or some other topical solution to make it retract or removing the body and leaving the head attached to you. You have a far greater chance of health complications from ingesting mushrooms that you can't identify.

I've been training my dog to not eat the psychedelics he helps me find. He's nibbled on one here and there and the first time I had some fresh ones this year he ate some. Prpbablt 2 or 3 and seemed to enjoy it but hasn't tried to eat them since if so he'll just nibble and get the juices then spit it out. And just sit next the patches until I get there and start walking off again. Dogs are awesome they know what's what man
