Have you thought about investing in glass petris? They're pricy but reusable.

Ya i have but i have 4 kids and they usually stay away from all my cult shit since its out in the shed...
but im sure they would find a way to break em haha plus im kinda clumsy myself.
i will probably break down and get some petris soon but ive been using pastyplates for over a year so im pretty used to them and ive only used maybe 100 petris so it would be a whole new process

Right? I'd get me a 100 glass one's if I had the money. So fucking expensive tho. A dozen nice one's can run $20-30.

I have been considering petri for cleaning and using the pasty plates for expanding clean culture for tiger drops. For now I am going to start using my wide mouth half pints for cleaning and the mini rounds for expanding.

Lobi i just cant get past spending 50$ every few weeks with these pasty plates i just load 40 in a pc and go i dont foil or paper towel anymore ... i do love the clarity of petris it sux the pastys arent more clear i have to really expect them thoroughly as i transfer
Working with mini rounds at that level must be nightmarish man. I also used to use them for agar, they're cumbersome, full of unnecessary grooves, the lids aren't clear, they aren't stackable, take lots of space in the pc, etc. I do more than 40 transfers every single week and I could not picture myself doing the same with mini rounds.
I use these instead, working with them upside down the way Munchauzen does in his vids. It all goes very smoothly in the SAB and I would not ever change these containers for real petris even if I had them for free. They allow you to do this as well.
Storing cultures is so easy and organized because they're stackable, you just won't go back. Maybe when this hellish summer ends (very busy with work) I'll do a write up explaining how I get down on agar using these containers, from pcing to the SAB, they're superior and it's not just an opinion, cheap as fuck too.

Those are pretty sweet i remember supalemonhaze had posted a new write up for something like those .. what size are those?? I got some 32qt containers but the lids werent pp5 but they didnt say that on the description ..
So no holes needed ?? I do hate the tape getting wet and the lids after awhile get pretty loose so i have to be careful ..
I like those tho..
And i meant inspect not expect lmao im a dummy sometimes

Supa's pp5 are for pour agar IIRC.
Mine have holes (slits) though, I melt little slits through the sides close to the lids, using a small flat head screwdriver. I don't use paper towels or foil either and the tape comes next to dry when I take the containers out of the pc. No bringing the pressure up slowly kinda bullshit to avoid condensation either, full power all the way till the pc reaches the right pressure, because these containers allow to use the same principle as with petris to clear up condensation when you take em still hot out of the pc.
I'm starting a Deli revolution guys.

Z-Strain 1st flush for this cake. All 3 pics are from the same cake. Counted 37 pins. Best pin set I have had on a cake this far. This is my 2nd growth so I am humbly proud of the results I am getting.
