You're describing what is called a double ended casing : top layer <> mycelium <> bottom layer. Well, first you will have to write a detailed description about your procedures. Then i'll be able to catch a fault. Anyway, how's your grow room, the place where you keep the terrarium, is it clean ?

Ok 1st peat moss and vermiculite were mixed together 50/50. Made it and nuked it in the microwave for 10 min then let it sit for 5 stirred and let it sit for 5 more. Then about one half inch layer was spread out across a tinfoil tray recently cleaned with alcohol. Then a layer of 4 crushed up cakes about 3/4 in thick was laid down. Then another layer of 50/50 peat and verm. was laid ontop about a half an inch. Then put saran wrap over it poked holes in it, sat it in a closet and waited It started to colonize the peat on top and was in patches all over the top of the casing. So after 5 to 6 days it was put into the fruiting chamber. Then right after putting it in the fruiting chamber the 2nd day i noticed green mold ontop. dug it up seems like it had been there for a little while. Dont know what todo??

You should be very careful where you put several items to rest. When you microwaved the 50/50, did you let it rest on the open air ? Also, how exactly did you place the casing inside the closet ? Remember you poked some holes in the saran wrap, the closet is a "dirty" place and contamination might get it. Next time use a plastic bag, clean it very well, put the casings inside and close it tight, then place it wherever you want. Btw, you should also be very careful with the saran wrap. Clean it with some alcohol too and if you don't use it for a long time, pull and dispose a full turn so you won't be using a long time exposed material.
