So this season of oviod hunting in pa has been a great success for me. being my first season hunting i feel i may have been spoiled by the years of untouched mycelium and mulch in the area i hunt. after all was said and done this year i pulled in 1 lb and 6 ozs of dried oviods. but now im addicted and cant even bare to think i have to wait till next year to do more hunting. so my question is are there any other mushrooms that grow in the hotter weather we are now experiencing in Pennsylvania that i can look forward to hunting. will there be any other 'hunting seasons" in the coming months in my area? any insight would be greatly appriciated!

Tons! PA is prime mushroom land from spring through fall. Get out there and start hunting edibles like chanterelles, agaricus, boletes and such and you can have a great time. And as a bonus you can legally sell your finds or share them with your family

im actually more insterested in the psychedelic side of mushrooms.lol. something about being able to pick dry and eat instead of purchasing them is beyond appealing to me! thank you for the info thou!

In PA you prob won't find much in terms of actives until the fall ovoid season. You could hunt Gyms but in terms of potency they don't come anywhere close to ovoids.

Well if you've got a dry pound and a half of ovoids I don't think you'll need to worry too much until fall. I think that works out to about 200 stout doses, that ought to keep you busy.

Pound and a half is a guaranteed 20 year sentence, federal time. Just read psilocybe fanaticus experience with the feds, he posted all the sentencing guidelines when he posted his case online

It'd be more like 2 years state time...But still not fun. Someone with a pound of mushrooms isn't going to be sent to federal court.
Still not something it is smart to have sitting around the house.

Texas is 5-99 years for 400 grams or more. So, it varies state to state. There was an 18 year old kid who just received 30yrs in Tennessee for possessing a lot less.
Federal sentencing guidelines for sacred mushrooms. A pound and a half is a lvl 26 offense and DEA will charge you with federal crime for that weight. My father is law enforcement (40yrs) and I know many of these assholes.

Yes you are right, in some places people get screwed pretty badly. Doesn't help that Jeff Sessions has advised prosecutors to be tough. Under Obama they were advised to be reasonable with regards to drug sentencing.

I wish they were appreciated as the medicine they are and not prosecuted as an evil they're not.
