These pics are about 3 days old but nothing has changed with the Z strain or Alacabenzis inside jars. Today I cased two jars of B+, 1 jar had a spec of green so I had to toss that salad. Excited to see how the B+ grows.

depends on if they have pin mold. if they were clean subs I'd just throw them in the garden. pin molds shouldn't be used.
does anyone know if potato flakes produce tomentose myc or is it just the fact that they aren't very predictable when it comes to nutes? or maybe I just have nothing but bad cultures.

Yup. Make them work for it. I use either no or very little sugar and make them work for it. We are after the winners.

Using no nutes is good? I would think it would weaken the culture, but probably just run it dry a few times huh?

How does that leading edge look? I know its hard to get a good look at it through these containers. The agar is a bit fuzzy just in front of the mycelium and being a newbie I'm not sure if that's normal
