Worms in horse dung?

Hello,

does it matter if there are living worms in the horse dung before PC'ing it? Will the heat from the PC kill the worms?
Will the mycelium grow in the horse dung after sterilization?

Best to break it up and pick out the bigger wigglys.
Sterilising will kill the worms, and there eggs if
done correctly though, and any seeds or other spores in it.

The mycelium will grow fine in sterilised dung, as
long as the water content is right.

Roadkill has some good dung tecs, try searching his name +dung.

fee... if he has bugs in it pastuerization is not going to remedy the problems he will have during incubation

I think sterilization by PC'ing is the way to go. The only method I've ever used before, but I've never had worms in the dung before therefor I asked about it' ...

take your time to remove every worm possible otherwise any that are left and killed during the sterilisation process will begin to rot soon afterwards creating an ideal environment for contams.

ya remove worms
but pasturization will make it less likelly for contams
as for the good bacteria is thier to fight off contams
but if you allways sterilize and dont get contams go for it
but IMO pateurization is the way to go

if there were no wors pastuerization would be the way... there are probably other bugs and eggs that wont be killed by pastuerization temps

in this instance sterilization is the best way to procede
