I dramatically cut down on misting and things seem to be looking better with my newly spawned tubs.

uh. i did it the other way around. doing the shoeboxes taught me the conditions i need on a smaller scale.
then i just replicated and upscaled the results. my place is dry though. really dry. if i 'set and forget' the shoebox, they dry out.

Not sure how these top fruiters are gonna turn out.

Last jar finished consolidating 6/8. They're 3:1:1 BRF quarts tamped down to hell.

I poured a half cup of water into the jars for dunking and cased straight verm. I didn't wash off the old DVB I had put there just in case (micrpore tape was their filter). It actually helped these a lot.

I've left the lids loosely on the top (unobstructed GE hole, not screwed down or nothin).

They were left sitting atop the jars and left them in the window. I've been misting slightly when the verm gets dry enough that it can fall out.. which hasn't happened again.

The top layers now feel solid like a cake.

Found these two little guys that literally appeared overnight. =)

I started with mini monos and took a step back to shoeboxes. They seem like a better place to start for "bulk" or "tub" grows.

Narrowed down my problem. It was direct sunlight. Left the blinds open more than usual this morning for whatever reason and that spot had a direct ray on it

Finally, Ovoids. I was hoping the last rains this weekend would kick it off. First flush, I planted last year in September. Media is alder covered by brown Scotts mulch. Whidbey Island. Now to see if the Aussies and Azzies come to play this fall.

The culture is working overtime to outcompete some bacteria.

5 days isn't that fast for full colonization if you fruit at spawn.

My fastest tub was 13 days spawn to harvest

Shit I've seen tubs posted by members that reached 100% in 3 days

That looks nothing like mycogone in my opinion. Looks like bacterial myco morphology. Mycogone (wet bubble) has droplets of metabolites all over the surface

It looks like early mycogone to me, or an early response to bacteria.
Run!
