Hey bod, been creeping your teks for a minute. Amazing work. Couple questions.
Any recommended must have items for a room full of a few dozen monotubs? (Besides light and fan)
Fresh air being hepa filtered a requirement?
Is the room rh that important? I see some people worried about it and some not so much.
80-84F temp or room temp for agar colonization?

No need to filter air
Room RH doesn't really matter mine is usually low as hell

Does casing PE with 50/50 peat/verm with hydrated lime really cut down on blobs? If so, why? I normally jst case at spawning with my left over coir/verm mix from the bucket tek. Wud it be better to wait a while b4 casing?

Hi Bod! Does this tray look over cooked, dry, bursted, Kentucky fried and or utterly fucked? Reason being (i hydrated 700ml rgs with 350ml water by RR) but pc'd for 2.5hrs!! without accounting for the volume of water in my 6qt pc when i opened it there was about 1/2cup left although it didnt run completly dry could i have possibly fucked em up?

yea the bottom looks pasty against the glass. I got these borosilicate trays to test in, I'm going to case the entire tray

He already told you it looks super wet. Do you have more grains?
If so, do it again. Do not think those will preform very well if at all.

True no colonization but the surface layer grains look dry so maybe if i shake the top layer into the bottom layer they might absorb some of that excess water? Im hoping... Yes i noc'd them 4 days ago i shouldve waited. I have about 3ml left in the syringe i noc'd some pda also. im having a very difficult time with mex

Hey Bod.
A friend here at the forum told me that a APE spore syringe from a vendor and a APE swap from say the market place would not be a "real" APE, it would be different.
If you understand my bad english and what my trying to ask (how are they different and why) could you please explain to me?

Thank you for clearing it up.
Did not make any sense to me why the would be different.
Edit - He said that the swab from say the market place would only give 'leucistic' mushrooms and not 'true' albino APE.
Question 1: oh and another question I been having just came up.
I got a stir plate for LC. I read some where that you can/should CONSTANTLY stir it on a medium to low setting, around where there is barely a dimple on the surface of the LC. Is this true and should you start to stir it right away with both spore inoculation and agar wedge or should you let it 'recover' for a day or so?
Question 2: What is you view on sealing bags before PCing them? I done it twice with success but maybe it's a bad idea. Just because it worked a couple of times, doesnt mean it's a good idea. Would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Oysters don't fruit well in monotubs and off horizontal substrate. But yes you can use oats as spawn. I wouldn't bother with coir for oysters

I don't use stir plates. Find your own tek if you're playing with LC. Or figure out who used stir plates and had results you like.
I also don't use bags. If I did I would not preseal because I would be g2g into them.
