Niagara man convicted of growing magic mushrooms * 1

A Niagara Falls man, arrested last fall on a multitude of sex-related offences including bestiality and sexual assault with a weapon, has been convicted of growing magic mushrooms.

Andrew Trostenko, 31, pleaded guilty in an Ontario Court of Justice in St. Catharines on Monday to a charge of production of psilocybin mushrooms. He was sentenced to one day behind bars.

Niagara Regional executed a warrant at Trostenko’s residence on Nov. 30, 2016. During a search of the address, police discovered a 40 psilocybin mushrooms in various stages of growth and an eight-foot-tall marijuana plant.

Trostenko, who has been in custody since his arrest, will return to court Oct. 17 to answer to the sex-related offences.

One day...It should really be legal here. Peyote being legal and all... One day is a pretty light sentence. Good on the judge for that.

So....not only do shrooms make you gay, but they also drive a person to Bestiality.  Turns out that its a slippery slope indeed.

Also says hes been in jail since his arrest in November 2016, so hes been locked up. So been in jail 9 months or so. Assuming they conside8time severed for his sentnece, still light for manufacturing
