That’s good to know, cheers! Unfortunately still bloody expensive down under in pellet form but dried shavings I can get for a fair price in feed stores which I’ll definitely suss out.

I have been supplementing it for about 3 month and I like it.
That’s on my list. Haven’t been able to find anywhere that sells the annulohypoxylon and yeast culture separately though.
My old lady bought some tramella moisturizer and it’s great, on par or better than hyaluronic acid imo

Edit: just got a chance to check the link 👍
You probably won't notice on a small scale but wood or soy pellets also vary some in moisture content. Usually not enough to notice but I recently got a pallet of soybean hull pellets a few percent higher in moisture content that I had to adjust for. Exact moisture content definitely helps yeild slightly. Not enough to matter much if youre making a couple of bags but could mean quite a bit of a weekly yeild difference with a couple hundred blocks

Which species exactly? What are the supposed effects?

Yeah, was thinking if I upped the scale of production I’d really need to source good, cheap and reliable hwfp and soy hulls, soy hulls average $40-$50 for a 20kg bag, same for hwfp but sawdust is practically free on a large scale but what a nightmare trying to calculate moisture content! The pile averages between 2-5m high and 5-6m wide with layers of different Timbers and dampness depending on which layer got rained on and when, moisture doesn’t seem to average out through the sawdust very fast or well, hurts my head just thinking about it.

Tremella mushrooms have several medicinal benefits, including: Supporting and replenishing fluids in the body, supporting decongestion, asthma, constipation, balancing cholesterol, and lowering redness and swelling 1 . Supporting healthy blood sugar levels and healthy digestive health due to their high fiber content 1 . Supporting gut health and natural detoxification due to their content of Glucomannan and Glucuronic acid 2 . Reducing the risk of heart disease by helping to control blood sugar levels and decreasing levels of bad LDL cholesterol and triglycerides 3 . Boosting the immune system due to their antioxidant properties 4 . Promoting brain health by having neuroprotective effects and potentially being used as a treatment for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s 3 . Supporting healthy, supple skin by holding hundreds of times its weight in water and containing a whole food form of vitamin D which may help the absorption of calcium and support normal levels of serum calcium and bone density
i tried this brand of tremella

Just an update on the SGFC lions mane grow. Due to the warm yellow light in the room I’m growing them I thought they were turning brown so in a panic I misted them with an atomiser spray bottle for 2 days till I had a day off and saw them in natural light and realised the light was making what was pink appear brown, was wondering if that was what caused the sponginess (the spraying) as it’s only spongy and porous on top but firm closer to the perlite, or is this just general lack of fae? If so I find it strange it’s firmer where I’d assume there to be more co2. Also considering drilling extra holes to up fae but would love to hear thoughts on this. Keep in mind I know this isn’t optimum and a tent is eventually on the cards 🤞

For scale this is a 110 litre tub, I’m gonna need a bigger tub!

Not sure where you’re based in Aus man but try hitting up cabinet makers and carpentry joints, some are mixed with floor scrapings etc (which is probs what you sourced on marketplace) but if you let them know why you’re after it and that you need it clean then most are happy to help you out and bag/box it seperate for you, I did that with my first load while the sawmill was closed for holidays.</font>
Melb ways here. yeah thats exactly what i did. the guy said it was HWSD only and it wasnt lol.Probs gona use i to bulk up my garden beds and source more soon when i can be fucked. Putting LM to grain tomorrow so i need some soon lol.

Looks great for a SGFC IMO, I think its lack of FAE but im not really sure. Finally going to start LM tomorrow.

You might have to bite the bullet and hit up a bbq joint or pet store till you can source something cheaper unfortunately, LM grows fairly fast compared to cubes, I’m loving it though.

Haha! Well tbh I’ve never tried them before, or even encountered them for sale, ever, so I’ll start with a simple fry up with garlic and butter but my intentions for growing are medicinal, guess I’ll just see where it takes me

I just go straight butter, s&p. So delicious.
If they looked like that in a proper chamber I’d say there was some funk in the bags but those aren’t half bad considering the fruiting setup.

It wouldn’t surprise me as 1 from that pc cycle ended up contaminated but that’s great to hear otherwise I’ve been given permission to put a tent in the garage if I clean it out 😂 so I guess I’ve got more research ahead of me in that regard, I’ll try not to bug you guys too much but damn I’m thankful this place exists!
