What causes this almost football-like form of the cluster? The caps open in this weird manner, not looking like usual. I changed the brand of pellets so I guess it's related to that (or that my Inkbird failed and it was 100% humidity for a while in the FC). But it is dirty pellets, grow condition related or something else? Has anyone experienced this and maybe identified the cause?

Hairy oyster 2nd flush. Smells like chocolate. Had no distinct taste in food but it was still nice to eat.

I think the c:n ratios you've listed are very interesting. From experience, a masters mix block can colonize with very little spawn. One quart can easily inoculate 3 10lb blocks.
Anyways the more important feature in my opinion is yield. Can you speak to what kind of yield you get using pine?
Cant say for sure yet, just started but I have 5 tubs in various stages. 4 on the pine and 1 on straw as comparison. Cased with coir at spawning. First set of king-pins coming in now. So will have an idea of the tub's first flush yield in about a week or so. Going to try and flip the blocks to push for a second flush as seen from "what the fungus" on youtube (although his are in bags, I'm sure it's the same concept).

Do you case your kings? I put straight cvg on about that stage you're at now and gave me far superior fruits to not casing imo

I did put an inch of straight coir on top of the sawdust block when I spawned this two weeks ago. Must say I was very surprised to see pins in the incubation room after 13 days. But now the tub is in the greenhouse with humidity kept above 80% and the tub itself keeps so humid, don't think they will benefit from a casing layer now. You case when the pins are already as big as a thumbnail?

anyone knows a reliable tek/recipe for growing buttons without the need for poop or compost? found some results in the search mentioning peat and coir but nothing very extensive

I cased about that stage - cant say for sure if it will make a big difference (it was a long time ago) but it did give me some lovely looking fruits

Those look great wow! Did you restrick FAE for that shape? I've got my 85L tub with a bunch of small holes above substrate level and at the top of the short sides. Hoping it's dailed in. Humidity have been staying 95%+ which I'm happy with during pinning. But I am considering dropping it now as I've read that over 90% can lead to blotch issues as they grow up. In your experience what humidity would you say is preferable?

Mine was in a Martha type thing, just had a little fan blowing at a little entry and a humidifier at the bottom in a tray. If I recall the humidity was in the ranges of 85-98% I think kings are fairly resilient and I believe people have had success in a mono so rekon you should be good!
*Edit
They do like their FAE - I didn't restrict it or anything

Any recommendations on how many CFMs a circulation fan inside a 6Lx4Wx7H tent should be? Thinking about upgrading my 115CFM fan to a 205CFM fan to see if this assists with my dead spots issues.

Black Pearl Kings on pine. Would you harvest these?
The Kings are taking their sweetass time, 6 days after pinning they still look like babies not sure if I am doing something wrong or just impatient, since the BPKs grew to these pics above in the same 6 days.

First time growing Lion's Mane. Got the syringe from a local vendor here where I live. Does this seem like normal LM growth? Really not familiar with Lion's Mane mycelium. Thanks in advance!
Edit: this is about 72h after squirting (too much) LC on the plate.

I actually like when they dry out a bit in the refrigerator. I think they cook up a little better

I store mine in a plastic container with a paper towel as the lid. That way they don't dry out so quickly.
