I've just barely succeeded, lol. If I had waited for one more day, there would be no chance of getting a clean transfer. I should have used water agar but was prolly too lazy to prep any Luckily the TT is super aggressive and the myc grew lightning fast before mold took over.

Hydrofarm thermostat/hygrometer from the hydro store are what Iβve always used. I have some that Ve been left out in the rain for months that still work.. basically the only thing that kills em is direct sun in heat over 100 and it just fries the display..

Turns out the dozen cultures I was mentioning were actually 17.

Most of them do look healthy, but my eye in not trained enough to tell for sure. A bigger problem might be the fridge temperature as I measured -1Β°C in it the next day after the photo session.
How does mycelium handle freezing in anyone's experience?
I will plate them no matter what anyway and report back. My new cleanroom is almost done, so fun times ahead.
cheers everyone

Making 5lb supplemented sawdust blocks is pretty easy. Using hardwood fuel pellets as your sawdust makes it very easy. You can either suppliment with 50 percent soybean hull, 10 percent wheat bran, or extra spawn. You want to make them around 60 percent moisture

I'm pulling fresh air in from outside 24/7... with changing to a repeat cycle timer instead of humidity control is taking a lil bit more time than I'd like... got the farmer's market starting in 3 weeks, may just go back to the humidity controller if I can't get shit dialed in within the next couple weeks

Can I use one of these https://www.homedepot.com/p/Master-Flow-4-in-x-4-in-x-4-in-Wye-Y4X4X4/100396979 At the window where my dryer vents to also vent my tent? I leave my exhaust on all the time and have my humidifier on a timer. Would I need a damper to keep it from blowing humid air into my dryer?

It is super quick and easy to dial cycle timers in by using the humidity controller to see exactly how long it take your setup to swing from high to low and how long it takes to recover.

The thing is it varies according to ambiant humidity. You'll have to figure it out for yourself. I got tired of chasing it in circles with the weather and went back to inkbird

it's so much easier to dial in the inkbird

You can also run both inkbird and a cycle timer for your humidifier. That's what I'm doing. I'm also having my exhaust fan on cycle timer and the both cycle timers overlap each other. May sound complicated but it's not and it might help as it did help me.
