They are Spruce and pretty much everything I've thrown at them grows just fine. It's thanks to their processing and age, I believe.

Indoor turkey tails look so different to me.

What motivated you to grow rhodotus palmatus?

I think I've explained it in another thread, but basically: Conservation, curiosity, novelty and photos.

I can’t tell but it looks like you left too much room inside the bottle for them to fruit from.

Yes just fruit them in open air, misting sometimes and will develop a lot better.

Oysters need a lot of fresh air. They won't grow well unless you're exchanging the air several times every hour. I had that problem with Blue Oysters I was growing in a Martha tent. I am not sure exactly what settings I have on my fan timer, but it comes on several times every hour and I had awesome results with nice big caps once I did that.

Thanks everyone! Love this forum and all the helpful advice! Do you find kings need the same fresh air as oysters? I have them in the same tub and they are pinning now.

Kings do ok with less but not many gourmets are happy with the amount of fae a mono can provide.

Good to know stony, so is a Martha best? Open air? Can they do without the higher humidity of a mono?

If you're growing indoors in your living space, I don't recommend open air. Spores are really bad for your lungs. If you're using your living space, then use a grow chamber that is vented outside.

Martha with a window exhaust is pretty standard for gourmets

lipa's is the easiest route imo, give it a go
