edit: Might explain why ashville pulled them...
Well then I think I have 3 different king cultures now. I would still like to grow Nebro.

Yeah, either way, it’s a a beautiful strain and appears to be a good fruiter!

So I had what appeared to be no growth for like 15 days (including a shake in between) and then walked in to see this.

I'd heard Lion's Mane does this type of shit, but just want to confirm this is normal.

I could see like a very, very thin bit of what I assumed was LM myc, but wasn't sure. And now it looks like it's trying to fruit, correct?

That fluffy white growth is not entirely normal with LM. I've had it as well, but then the blocks did contaminate at the end of the first flush. I got a second flush off of it, but I do think the yield could have been better. Contam was a dark-green-grey mold that doesn't seem to grow very rapidly, though spreads out across the sub pretty easily.

Oh, and yes, they are forming tiny fruit bodies. I've had this as well, and it'll cause a setback in colonization of the wood chips ime, but they'll still fruit from the blocks. They should have been spawned about a week ago though.

I'm not spawning to wood chips, only pellets in a bag. And I literally couldn't see anything indicating 100%, hence late spawning (my eyes aren't used to LM myc yet). Hoping it's not contaminated.

Yeah, I totally know what you mean. I don't have enough on-hands experience yet, but I hear you should just count 21 days from inoculation or something, and then when spawning count 21 days from there, and then just go ahead and punch holes, else you'd be too late. I top fruited because I was late, because of hard to judge mycelium. It's just a matter of getting to know the species, but with this species, it's supposedly easier to watch the calendar than the sub.

Okay, right on. Ill spawn them regardless and see what happens. Hoping for fruits. I expanded this LC someone gave me quite a bit so I'll be frustrated if it's contaminated. Oh well!

So I have a few questions, if anyone has a bit of insight they'd like to share.
I've been growing pink oyster for about a year and. Every time I try to grow them from a straw laundry basket, the fruits come out tiny and white. But when I grow them out the top or sides of a bag, they come out healthy an vivid pink.
What I seem to have found is that when they're given too much fruiting area they come out small and white.
If anyone has anything they'd like to add on what can improve their color or whether they think my assessment is correct I'd appreciate the input.
Sorry no pics

Yes ,correct, most people put straw in a trash bag before the basket. This allows you to control where it fruits.

Thanks man
I scored a AA 921 today for $50. Only an hr from here so I stocked up on fuel pellets and a bag of wheat pellets while I was out. I think I need to make up some bags to celebrate
