Used for cattle or horse feed. Check feed stores.

Can I assume people are already use beet root pulp as a useful product? 6% sugar could be absolutely fine or a problem I wouldn't want to have, and I think it depends on how available it is, how easily it can be released from the material or is locked up in it. IMHO
Feed grade materials are what you want in general, it is produced more cheaply - i guess they dont have to sift out certain stuff cattle doesn't care about but we don't want in our food, I guess.
(owh i heard it in my mind as sounding like gosh darn it)
Lately ive gotten trich contams i have yet to explain properly (mainly that is the setbacks), best I can think of is for example what can happen with plates which don't have foil wrap (all the time) and small details of sanitizing objects in front of my flowhood or what all to do when you turn off the hood and turn it back on again later.
Trying to rule out various factors now. But damn it's annoying to not be able to focus on this well from being so busy and being a bit out of it.
Can't wait to actually start using both my new Inkbirds lol..
I still do try to do some grows and have Cordyceps starting to fruit from jars of rice and bugs.

It has been 14 days. HDWP with 1 quart of lions mane spawn. 5lb block.
Would you say that is 100% colonized or wait a few more days?
Thanks

You laughin' at my GH?
Maybe...
On a serious note, that's good to know. I think one of the things I need to work on is sealing up the bottom of my martha and getting a proper fan/vent port going on.
What's your thoughts on my design:
So I have my humidifier on the middle rack of my GH because it blows up into the top rack (when I had it on the top rack it just made the top of the tent condensate). I have the fan in the bottom. My GH is in my bedroom, so I'm trying to not make it look like some beast of vent tubing, so I put my fan in the bottom to vent out everything every 15 min (both causing the inkbird to re-humidify and getting FAE). This will also pull all the humid air down and across everything (since it's likely heaviest up top, but I don't know shit).

I think this design will benefit from being sealed in around the bottom a bit better, but other than that I think I have things set up pretty well.
What do ya'll use for heating elements? I had a ceramic infrared bulb in a clamp lamp doing the job, but I started to get paranoid about burning my place down.
I know I don't want to get a fan based heating element or I'll cook shit, but I don't know what to use for this The ambient temps for my place are fine right now, so I likely won't need to fix this for a few weeks, not until when I install my AC. It's about to get chilly in my bedroom in July likely. I have some seedling heating pads that aren't in use and I was thinking about hanging one on the wall of the tent (maybe ceiling?) to radiate light heat... any thoughts on that?

Here is a base design a few people use, although the design is usually bigger or looks different. I've seen people build them out of wooden beading and plastic sheets.

Shaper I really wouldn't know why you would need heat ,unless you are growing tropicals.
Problem I see is your venting exhaust into your bedroom?

I mean I live in a studio. I can't really put it anywhere else. And yes, tropicals will be grown in there (got some pan aussies on grain.. but they're looking fucked up so it'll probably be a bit now). I'm worried about my AC blasting straight onto it more than anything.

Well, I'd been following Jake's design ideas for humidity, which is why I was aiming for the vapor coming in from the top. Effectively I have the same design, just inverted a bit.

Most gourmet like 60-70 ranges. Cooler temps usually equal better quality fruits.
Spores can screw you up in a hurry. Make darn sure they are not allowed to sporulate in your living area.

I've heard about certain major cultivars becoming (basically) allergic to spores after working with oysters for years.
Do you think a filter attached to the fan that vents out would be helpful, or just not going to be good enough to block much?
Also, to be fair, I don't really grow much. I'm literally only working with 4 quarts of jars right now. I will likely only have 2-3 bags going when I do that too. Is that still enough to fuck someone up? I was also planning to put the oysters outside when they started to reach maturity so they spore dumped on my back porch. . . Not like I can get them to live that long right now.

a good filter may help. I think tolerences vary. I would say much less than years. Its not limited to oysters either . Once it becomes a problem your screwed.

It was a specific person. Either RR or Alan... someone lolfamouslol. It was just a specific story, sorry wasn't trying to make a general statement.
Also, honestly I hadn't given it too much thought. I figured I'd just see what the spore load was like when it happened. I should know better though, since I'm watching that Chernobyl mini-series
I'll look into a post-filter on the vent fan! Something to catch the spores before they pollute the air outside the tent.

RogerRabbit had oyster spore problems. There are more accounts than just him.
I just wanted to caution you. It can be done with small production. Just be ever mindful.

Yes, I know it is or was used commercially here. But I have no idea in what substrate mixes or types of mushrooms, although I think it was at least used for oyster.
Don't pump spores in your living area. I've heard about people developing an allergy within a day from working in a grow room. Depends on the person I guess, but not worth the risk imo.

Solipsis has some ideas on that...

Any chance you could just have it vent out a window? IIRC, TravelAgency did that.

Golden oysters will do you in if you have more than about a kilo of fruits at once, 400g is enough alone without extraction. My indoor tub literally turned pink-purple with dense amounts of spores (example video: one, two).
