Rum rules! Definatly not a alcohol to do shots of, but it mixes very well. Rum and Coke is second to none for me.

> who here loves rum more than life it self? I used to be a big rum drinking years ago, but had stopped drinking it until I moved to the caribbean. Down here rum is cheaper than milk, literally. A gallon of (good) rum sells for around $5 while a gallon of reconstituted milk (no fresh milk) goes for a bit more than $6. Rum on fruit loops... yum. If you haven't tried it, Cruzan rum is the best. A one liter bottle is around $3 and kicks bacardi's ass for flavor and smoothness. The cruzan single barrel reserve is around $30 for a liter and is the best sipping rum I have ever had. There are also many flavored cruzan rums... mango, vanilla, banana, etc... these are around $6 a liter, and are very good as well. There is even a cruzan cream rum that tastes like a really good baileys cream. Finally, the local rum drink of choice is called a pain killer. It is a mix of rum, oj, pinapple juice, and coconut cream. About 1/2 rum, 1/2 fruit juice... topped with fresh ground nutmeg. You can drink these all day, get plastered, and never even realize you are drinking alcohol.

I think a rum loving girlfriend in high school pretty much killed me on the Captain. I cant even smell it anymore without getting terrible heartburn. That said, Myers is GREAT stuff...
