Does anyone have any idea how many 10" by 10X metal pans I would need to fill with colonized worm castings/straw of ecuadorian cubensis to produce about 5 pounds dry? Minimal 5 pounds that is? :crazy2:

Hey mike I want to see your pans, 5 pounds dry is 50 pounds wet and if your getting 50 pounds from 3 10" pans Ill bow down to the master but I think your full of it.

Ten inch? I thought he meant feet! Anyway, my answer was a joke... there's no way to predict yields in a hypothetical situation, and thats hard to explain to a noob. So I answered as the owl did in that commercial.

As far as an answer for you, and nobody can tell you how many pans youd need but assuming 2oz per pan thats 8 pans per pound x 5 =40
So if done to perfection and you didnt lose a single pan Im guessing 40 of them. Im also going to take a guess and say that there is no way your going to grow 40 pans of cubies all at once.
My advice is to find another way to make a quick buck.

ANyone that is asking how many trays it will take to grow 5 lbs dry is highly unlikely to even be able to accomplish such a feat but good luck trying

kramer says to go with about 150 pans. since your new at this and most will likely contaminate.
