Yeah awsome patch doc! Hey... you left these behind.

Haha

Good tip for noob hunters, if you can find this anti-erosion netting, you probably found yourself in a prime location for a patch, whether it is a past patch, current patch or future patch is the question.

I saw a group of them in a customers yard yester yesterday and I figured they were the Glowing payson fuckers. I never studied closely chanterreles and jack o lanterns so I could know the for serious differences. I did study them but I had a hard time still after that telling them apart. Perhaps Doc can enlighten us.

Yea they look different to me as well.

I partake in wild mushrooms asap every season... it's like an old wives tale for me!  I feel it increases my hunting luck for all mushrooms!

Get after them chants  Wryan!!

Anyone ever run across weillii with a sickly/earthly sweet minty smell?
I dropped my damn camera in a creek on a backpacking trip a few weeks back or I would have pics....  it doesn't seem like it's gunna work anymore :undecided:

Observed scents of weilii for me are now: cucumbers, cheap lipstick, jizz (very unfavorable), pine forrest floor, and now a sickly sweet minty smell...  all have that weilii lingering undertone...

Damn lewp...  nice... did you find those in a parking lot? Any more habitat pics? You are putting all the Noobs to shame… Cham excluded…

Trying to narrow my search down, so I was curious if any of you have ever found them in the black or red dyed mulches? Or just in natural shredded mulch?

I found an enormous about of chants scattered across a hill side near Goulding Place in Roswell.  Only collected a few, since I found some last Friday around Mount Paran and Powers Ferry. I would be happy to show some of you other nerds where they are if you'd like…

Fixed them with some veggies from the garden, pasta, and a nice bottle of wine with the wife. She gets fired up if I keep too many of my mushrooms laying around... especially with a 3 year old running around... Cham's got mushrooms falling out of every drawer and cabinet in his house probably… Your girl seems a lot more lenient… Although, your finds are better and my wife does leave me alone when it comes to my gardening and other hobbies…

Thanks Dude, Groo, Confuzzed... and you too Doc... those posts cracked me up and keep giving me  confidence and drive to hunt…  I was getting very antsy about my battery FYI, but was sweating my balls off and donating blood to mosquitoes in the woods looking for Caerulescenes...

Have a great day!
