Too much humidity?
    #2439897 - 03/16/04 04:57 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

My friend just took a look at a casing he has going and he noticed 5 or 6 very small shrooms, and what seems like a few aborts. Each shroom wasnt over 2 inches, but the veils were already seperated and the caps upturned so he picked them. They arent "fat asses"...the strain is hawaiin. He's thinking its too much humidity, but is not sure. Is there something you can buy to measure humidity within a terrarium? How much is it, where can you buy it? Thanks.

yea its called a hygrometer or however u spell it. Mine was 30$, digital much more acurate than a regular one but im sure they come cheaper. Your friend probably did not have enough air exchange is my assumption and possibly a lack of water to the casing, not enough misting?
