outdoor golden teacher bed!

This is my first time actually spawning grain directly outdoors, ive only gotten fruit off of spent subs buried in my garden.
photo of a cluster I grew last year in with my peach tree

I had a bunch of spawn that I didn't know what to do with so I decently to attempt an outdoor grow. First off I duck a hole a about 6 or 7 inches deep (just estimating from what I remember)

I covered the bottom of the hole in dried grass

then a mixed a layer of Hpoo, compost and spawn together ontop of it then covered it with more grass and repeated.

then I topped it with some compost and more dried grass clippings now about 2 weeks later we have pins! and a decent pinset across the whole colonized area.

as the days go on I will post updates

IME, I'm more worried about slugs on outdoor beds. Hate them fuckers. Copper flashing around the bed works wonders to keep them out.

Yep, six inch wide flashing. Knock it into the soil and keep 4" above ground.

It's a mild repellent, but you could also bait and drown with a buried, half full can of beer with a cover of some sort.

Copper messes with the PH of slugs and burns them. You have to lay a barrier to keep them from slithering across it you can't just "hang" it. Copper is also shown to kill MRSA. If hospitals would cover bed rails and hand rails with copper they would have less issues with MRSA being spread.

Because school is designed to assimilate and teach you how to walk in a single file line not to educate you.
