Yes, that seems to be Kerry's entire platform.

"I'm not Bush!"

And that's good enough for me. My motto is "Anyone but Bush in 2004."

So you'll be voting Pat Buchanan then, if he runs as an independent?

Here's an idea -- vote Libertarian. The Libertarian candidate is not Bush. And the Libertarian Party favors ending the WOD.

i will be voting for the libertarian candidate because the libertarians are the only political party who represent how i feel government should be run. i agree with them on almost every issue and i think that the more votes the libertarian party gets, in any election, the better

Heh, where pinksharkmark and I disagree in other threads, we agree here.

I'm liking Gary Nolan - http://www.garynolan.com - a great deal.

And he's not "Republican with more taxes" (aka Democrat) or "Democrat with less civil liberties" (aka Republican).

I'm voting for Nader!

Nader is the only one who will possibly get enough votes to end the Madness called THE WAR ON DRUGS. This means alot to me, its ruined millions of lives and it is insane. Anyone who runs and will not admit that its madness and is not willing put a stop to it has a character flaw that is just to large to be overlooked in my opinion.

http://www.cannabisnews.com/news/thread18491.shtml

1. Wants to make health care universally available

2.Wants electoral reform that creates a vibrant, active, participatory Democracy.

3.Wants to restore and expand civil liberties and constitutional
rights,and end the patriot act.

4.Supports Equal Rights for Gays and Lesbians

5.Wants to create a new energy policy

6.Corporations should not be given equal rights with humans

ok thanks everyone!

but a couple years ago I reged as a libertarian and the lady said that I would be excluded from most of the ballot. can anyone explain this? she basically said that my vote wouldn't really count unless I was reged as either a republican or a democrat, anyone heard of anything like this?

Libertarian, they haven't got a snowballs chance in hell of winning but it's more of a protest vote because both sides suck major ass.

I believe that you can only vote for the candidate if
you are registered in their party.

good job getting registered, now go out there, educate
yourself and get 10 more friends to register!

Your vote counts just as much as anyone else's. You don't have to register except to vote in primary elections and not always then, it depends on your state.

This lady was an election official???? She should be horsewhipped and fired immediately. It is absolutely NOT her job to discuss anything like that. With anyone.

The libertarian candidate has no reasonable chance of beating Bush. I intend to actually have a new president in office next year, not just vote for a candidate that sounds good.

Please check into a mental hospital immediately. Nader has a snowball's chance in hell of winning(dammit, I just noticed Inny already used that analogy in this thread).

Well, your choice is kerry? kerry is going to get you drafted in the military. I'd say you need to wake up.

Number of men drafted into the military for major 20th-century conflicts, president and the party that called for a draft:

World War I (1917-1918) -- 2,666,867 Woodrow Wilson Democrat

World War II (1940-1946) -- 10,110,114 Franklin Delano Roosevelt Democrat

Korea (June 1950-June 1953) -- 1,529,537

Vietnam (August 1964- February 1973) -- 1,766,910 Lyndon Baines Johnson Democrat

America will not leave the middle east for a long time.

At least the ketchup in your MRE that you'll be eating in some wasteland will be from the guy you voted for.
