I'm completely new to all of this and have decided to try my hand at growing cubensis. Probably a really stupid question but I was wondering what would be the best way sterilize my equipment and grow space? I'm probably going with monotubs and ryebags as I feel this would be the simplest route. Any advice is deeply appreciated but sterilization is my main concern. Thanks to everyone in advance.

The only thing we sterilize is spawn and needles/scalpels.
Fruiting is done in houses in carpeted rooms with open windows and people moving around.
Bags are usually big fail and hassle for new growers. And usually means you're buying premade stuff which means even more chances of failure
All the resources and guides you need are listed at the top in the rules and sticky threads

Hey guys I`m a newbe to this site I dont even know if I`m doing the right thing here,but lets give it a shot.
So I made a SAB and after several months I`m fed up with it, though i havent got contamination,its just to small and to messy.
So I decided I`m gonna make a flow hood,I purchased a HEPA filter 24x36x5.88 and specs for this particular filter are as goes.
539CFM @ 0.29 +/- 0.5wg.
I`m trying to size up a fan for this particular filter but I`m having hard time
figuring out what fan to get or how many CFMs needed to establish laminar flow of 100 fpm .Please HELP anyone with some Knowledge on sizing filter to fan it will be very much appreciated.Thank-you guys.

Usually there's no bad smell unless it's mold contamination or terrible bacteria contamination

Let it go. Im guessing you bought that premade bag of rye then shot a syringe into it?
Jars are easier, so is doing it yourself. But i started similarly to you and now mushrooms are hard not to grow.

This is my first correspondence with you lovely folks, first time registered with a forum, and in the midst of my first "project". My first question is, how to I post a topic or thread on this site? My second inquiry is, I've inoculated five quart jars, five days ago and not one spec of mycelium... am I being impatient or is something not right? I understand there are many variables to consider...
