Here we go:
This is a ready-to-put-on-fire "beerchicken" for a common kettle grill, or at least a grill with a high lid. This one shown in the pic I made a few years ago:

Leave half of the beer in the can, put chicken ontop. Oil, then flavour with pepper, curry and chilli, little salt.
Put on grill as it is for 1.5 hours, keep the lid closed. The beer /liquid will evape through the chicken, the meat will be raosted on the outside, but soft juicy inside.. So good!
-
This is my new grill, I just built it yesterday. The silverplate to the left will work as a lid, if needed. Sadly no beerchicken will fit in there..

Where do you live that you've never heard of a beer chicken?
Or is this just a thing that only comes from being surrounded by rednecks and alcoholics?
I always found it weird to shove a beer can in a chicken's ass though... Rather boil my hot dogs/sausage in beer.

Well, ive heard of it, but never seen it done. Like ive seen gadgets at stores selling it.
I dont have a lot of experience with various people, hence my limited knowledge of beer chicken.

Fire makes everything taste better, but meat on a stick caveman style or jacket potatoes in the coals are the best!

Its an unleavened bread that's traditional here in Australia. I'm sure there are very similar breads all over the world though.
You can cook it in a cast iron pot with coals on the top or wrap it around a stick and cook it like a hot dog.
If we have a bottle of wine (for a rolling pin) we also make flat bread out of (cooked) mashed sweet potato and all purpose flour about half half ratio rolled very thin that can be cooked a few minutes on both sides Delicious!

Honestly I forgot my favorite meal cooked over the fire. .... Goose .... Is absolutely amazing over the fire! I just skin, gut, and give remains to my dog . and shuck on the grill . Dove is also delicious along with Swan if you ever grow a big enough set of balls to head to Canada to blast some Swans haha. The down fur off them is incredibly soft. Any waterfowl really are great tasting over the fire.

Smores are amazing. If u like sweet-smokey treats. Oh, Bring milk.
Gotta try it at least once. Smores ice cream sucks but real smores are delicious when done right.

Pandemoon, that's awesome and inspiring. The best steak i've ever had was cooked on a grate over a campfire. I just used salt and pepper. I actually whittled a stick to stab and flip it over with. Makes me want to build something like that in my back yard.
