Straw and Dung cased with verm and coir. First flush, 2nd day fruiting.
March 17, 04.
Here they are. As you can see I jumped the gun a little on the box on the right. I figure it's about a day behind, maybe more. I'll just pick em as the vails pop rather than pluck them when immature. Anyways, I'll do a final update when I have dry weight worked out. Enjoy.

Canadian tire plant tent?
Also, check out the dollarama dollar stores.. they have 10"x12"x5" wash basins.. very strong plastic, very easy to clean, and they're opaque. Perfect casing trays.
I'm digging that cluster.

Indeed
I dont have a PC so I only use cakes to spawn with so far. I'd like to get into agar work so I might pick one up some time. 2 cakes per box, ground up with a cheese grater when I spawn.
I use about 2/3 straw and 1/3 dung.

Nice fruits, Looks like they will grow into some nice mushrooms.

Nice to see someone working with tapalpas. They are one of my favorite strain and the first one I was able to fruit back to my debuts.
Got my best trip ever from this strain too!
As far as I know, very few people tried this one. Did you get the strain from sporelab? Hey sorry to post pictures here but your thread seems perfect to show how beautiful this strain is :

Yah, it was originally from sporeworks. A friend of mine got it from them a long time ago and I ended up with it last fall.
It's my favorite strain right now too. I don't see why it isn't more popular.

If I remember correctly (which I do) the tapalpa was brought back by an amateur mycologist and was given to a certain spore vendor, but because the spore vendor in question had no growing skills, everybody assumed he didn?t isolate (tame) the wild strain before selling it to the public. A competing spore vendor started the rumors. I have tried growing the tapalpa and found it to be a very good strain

One thing I feel is worth mentioning, especially for the newbies is that the level of air exchanges was significantly lower in the box to the right in the following pic. I set up a computer fan running on 9V and could only point it towards one of the boxes. It ran at all times. As you can see, the box on the left (which the fan was pointed towards) had much better growth than the other did. Newbies, if you get nothing else from this thread, get this: the more air exchange... the better.

Anyways, dry weight was just under 120 grams.
