depends on your strain, EQ for example doesn't require any.

whoa, who told you that? no strain NEEDS to be dunked, you drunk them to add water to the cake so your flushes will be larger.

I don't believe that any cube needs to be cold shocked. The drop from incubating temps to fruting temps should be enough to induce fruiting.

You gonna lower the temps in the incubator to 10C (50F) or lower it by 10C? I guess the latter. 50C is a bit too chilly for fruting cubes.
Don't confuse an incubator with a terrarium or fruting chamber. What are we talkin here, pf jars? grains?

opps.. misread... but it doesn't matter. I was commenting on his reply that EQ requires a cold shock. he was strain specific..I am simply stating that strains have nothing to do with it as they are all cubes... now if you can provide proof(via link) that EQ(and not other strains) require cold shocking then I will shut up in this thread.
in paul stamets said that 3 things need to occur in order for pins to form.
1. fresh air
2. colder temps
3. light
this goes for every cube strain out there, its not strain specific.

zero's right. For the most part they all need the same stuff. Im sure some are a little diffrent but its as zero says, there arent any strains that require or do not require something that the rest do. Sorry if that made no sense. i bought a case of beer today and well..
