Really? I figured it would be some cheesy, over CGI'ed, cliche medieval movie. Then again, maybe it is and that's just what you're into. I was thinkin about seein it just for the hell of it cuz I was such a big fan of Sons of Anarchy and started to like Charlie Hunnam after a while.
Anyway
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
8/10

A Cure for Wellness
3/10 and that's being generous strictly for visuals
Biggest piece of shit movie I have seen in a very long while. Beautiful, but about 2/3 of the way through it all falls apart and just becomes stupid and schlocky. I did go into it knowing that it didn't get great reviews, but I didn't expect it to be nearly so bad.

The trailer looked so god damn promising but i read nothing but shit reviews so I didn't bother wasting my time.
And 2017 has been off to a pretty rocky start with hardly anything worth checking out..nothing but reboots, sequels, and super heroes - BLAH.

Green Room
Greatness. 9/10. About a small band who plays a gig in the remote deep woods of Oregon (I think?), at a spot called "The Green Room" that's run by neo nazi skinhead motherfuckers. They witness something they shouldn't have and then...well, all hell breaks loose.
Excellently directed. Well acted by the cast. Wildly entertaining. Suspense so thick you could cut that shit with a knife. And that little chick Imogen Poots (seen below) completely steals the show. Lol honestly her character was probably the most memorable film character that I've seen in recent memory. Put it on your list.

Sounds pretty wild. Must be an indie film. That lady kinda looks like Scarlette Johanson.

Yeah she does now that you mention it. She was freaking great in the movie, too. I had never heard of the movie -- I just did some google searches for best movies of 2016 and it came up. Had an intriguing premise and got really high marks according to Rotten Tomatoes. I think it had like a 92% rating or something.

By the end of the film she had totally stole the movie IMO. Seriously her character in that film is probably one of my all-time favorite movie characters, I think. Her deadpanned delivery was freaking classic, lol. Had me rolling at a couple of points in the movie
That's crazy btw how the lead dude (Anton Yelchin) ain't even alive anymore. Y'all might already have known that but in case not he died in a freak accident at his home recently. Thought he left his car in park or some shit, got out, and the car rolled back and pinned him between his driveway gate and his car. When they found him he was already dead. And as I was reading about it after I saw the movie, I read where the girl who played Amber (the character we've been talking about up above), was like literally best friends with Yelchin in real life.
Man she must've been devastated when she found out. Sad shit.

that sucks ass, wow, can't even enjoy that success.
i watched The Killing by Kubrick for the first time finally last night, it was pretty damn good, fast-paced, almost, but not breakneck- an obviously good heist film- very early Kubrick- the only ones now i need to see is Spartacus and then Killer's Kiss, and that'd be it save Day Of The Fight, his first film- i still gotta see that too.
and this is after watching Lolita....both are a 10/10.

Colossal 8/10
Definitely went in a very dark direction that I wasn't anticipating, but really good nonetheless.
