 Acid Myth or What?

Hey, I've never tried Acid before but me and a buddy of mine are really gettin ourselves psyched up for it for an upcoming weekend. Only thing is, I've been trying to do some research on it but not really producing much results> I know there's alot of people around the Shroomery that've experienced Acid many times and just curious about some of the myths like, how long it lasts, getting "stuck" in a trip, thing of that sort? Just to clear things up for me a bit.

It last about 6 hours at its peak. I would say a 12 hour trip, with a 24 hour afterglow. The after glow is just a nice slightly high feeling. Just do it at night and by normal you will be able to be in the presence of people.

I find getting "psyched up" for a trip increases the chance its not gonna be as fun. Try not to plan it, just do it when the time comes... Just my opnion...  Have fun!

After about 9 hours i was getting stuck in trips and wishing i was out. But its all good becuase everything turns out O.K.
in the end. After 48 hours you feal completly normal, i didn't like the after glow effects but most people say that they are
pleasent, they where really nice to sleep on though. I had the best nights sleep i think i've ever had after i did acid the first time,
since i didn't sleep the whole night or during the day and the after glow effects where still there making me feel comfortable
in any postion. Kinda funny since while tripping on acid i was never comfrotable when it came to trying to sleep.
You shouldn't worry about that kinda shit, thats how trips can go bad. Just have a fun time.

i have another question for everyone who knows about lsd...i heard after taking acid 7 times you are legally insane...any truth to that ???

Yep, that's another myth. It's from people who've never taken acid confusing being high with being insane.

I think the myth is that when you do 7 hits at one time you are considered legally insane, but only for the amount of time you spend tripping.

I heard a "story" from a friend who heard it from a teacher that there was a girl who took LSD and got stuck in a closet, and tried to claw her way out because she thought she was in a coffin. (I think she might have been a babysitter in the story, which is always a clear give-away).
Now, I've never had the blessed chance to try LSD, but from what I know that sounds like 100% Grade AAA horse manure. I'm talking about the pure stuff, double dipped.

yeah once i heard a story in school about a guy who took half a hit of LSd and went pycho and beat up this chick took off all his clothes, when the cops came he jumped through a 3 story window cut open his stomache so his intestines were hanging out, Then he put his intestines back in and started fighting cops who had pepper spray and night clubs, with one hand holding his guts together. Then they shot him in the shoulder and had to shackle him untill he came down.
this came from a "Drug Expert" giving a presentation in my 12 year of high school.
I dint know much about LSd then but i knew it was bullshit so i just laughed at him.

Now when ever i am tripping with somebody and wehave free time waiting for drugs or whatever i educate people on Drugs, or try :P

Hey what about the storey of a guy who did load of acid as a teenager, then one day he was driving home with his wife and kids when he was going over a bridge that was realy high above a lake, then suddenly he had a flashback and the road seemd to turn to the right, well he followed it and went straight over the bridge. It totaly killed his family but somehow he survived badly burnt and crippled for life.
this is a seriously true storey Dont do it kids lsd just not worth it
