I'm just saying, I would love to see you try to innovate something while taking care of 20 kids. At a time when your house didn't even have running electricity or water, so you had to spend hours each day just preparing one meal, or walking a couple miles to the river to fetch for water, or spend hours a day scrubbing dirty clothes for you and all your kids in water by hand.

Seems like you've forgotten that it's only in like the past 60 years that we've had access to modern technologies like laundry machines, running water, microwaves, or ovens, that drastically reduced the amount of housework one had to do each day. Before that, women didn't have TIME in the day to do anything!

if they do something that is deemed slutty while they are drunk, no one will call a taxi for her, the guys there will rape her gang bang style in the bar, then through her out in the street and she is going to be raped again by the guys in the street, then someone will call the cops they will arrest her and she will be sexually harassed by them then charged because being drunk in public isn't legal, and lets not forget about the sharia law like saudi arabia and yemen.

and i have never meet any rape victim, but usually society like rapists because they are teaching women not to act freely.

and most of the topless tourists in sinai's and hurghada's resorts are also rapped on the beaches by egyptians and those who work in the resort.

this how things goes in my country.

That's... atrocious.

So men gang-rape women who are behaving badly or drunkenly, society protects those rapists, and you think that your country is some great shining example of equality?

That's horrible.

Chances are, you do know plenty of rape victims, they are just not willing to come forward and tell you about it.

OP, the real question you should be asking yourself is why hasn't the Arab world innovated anything useful for the past 1000 years?

Out of nearly 1000 Nobel prizes awarded in the sciences, less than 5 have been awarded to people living in arab countries.

Maybe you should worry about what's going on where you are and less about the innovations of a gender your culture systematically oppresses.

Egypt stopped being innovative 4000 years ago, right about the time the Jews left.

BURN!!!!!! :lolsy:

It's so true though.

It's hard to believe that today's Muslim societies evolved from those advanced ancient Egyptians.

Quote:

Wonderful standards. "We're not as bad as the worst places on earth for women."

If only that were true.

BBC: Egypt is now the worst country for women's rights in the Arab world, according to a poll of gender experts.

I suspect you don't know many innovative women there because the innovative women innovated a way to get out of living in a repressive shithole.

Okay, now I officially love you.

looks like you didn't read my posts in this thread replaying to those posts.

and you don't know much about the history of egypt, there was also the Ptolemaic period, and the muslim's golden age.
...

It certainly must have taken some grand innovation
to go from a golden age
back to bronze age ethics
:shake:

i have studied history in college! so they lied to us, the islamic golden age was a myth, 400 years that got documented by both europeans and arabs! and the europeans scientists and philosophers that said they were influenced by the other arab scientists and philosophers! they were influenced by people that didn't exist! LOL.

what books did you read about islam, have you read the quran? i have read the old and new testament and lots of books about buddhism, and other few books about religion.

the gulf area was nothing but a few tribes and bedouins before islam, and they used to bury new born females because they were ashamed of them. just to give you an example.
