A theory of mine I'd like to share
    #24323696 - 05/16/17 09:00 AM (6 years, 10 months ago)

I'd like to share with you guys a theory that I have been developing. It takes an alternative perspective on the birth, life and death of planets and also explains things such as global warming. It's pretty messy at the moment but ill do my best to tidy it up and organise it.

*Note: Although this theory may differ from some modern 'accepted' theories, it is still based on scientific fact as accurately as possible as to sustain its validity.

All planets start off as gas giants, created from the abundance of hydrogen gas floating through space, either left over from the big bang or cast out from a collapsed star. Eventually two of these hydrogen atoms get close to each other and the negatively charged electrons of one pulls it towards the positively charged nucleus of the other and vice versa.  Electrostatic repulsion caused by the two positively charged nuclei keep them from ever touching and they become locked in an orbit around each other. The strength and range of their attractive force is now doubled and it continues to increase as more and more hydrogen atoms are pulled in. Because all of the particles are orbiting each other, it causes the entire group to spin as a whole. This pulls them all towards a central point and creates gravity. As the mass of the group increases so does the gravitational force which causes the particles to get squeezed together tighter and tighter, increasing the frequency of collisions between atoms which generates heat. The pressure and temperature continue to rise until it hits a ‘flash point’ where the hydrogen enters a state of matter called plasma where the electrons are stripped from the nucleus. This allows the nuclei to get extremely close to each other and under the immense pressure they fuse together creating a whole new element, helium.

Because the new helium atoms are now heavier, the gravitational pull has a greater effect on them than the lighter hydrogen atoms and they form a central mass of helium. As more helium is created, this central mass expands outwards until eventually the surrounding hydrogen is completely cut off from the high pressure and temperature at the core and is no longer able to be fused.

Helium is heavier than hydrogem which means its flash point is also higher and it must wait for more hydrogen to join and increase its mass which in turn increases its gravity and the temperature and pressure until the process is able to repeat itself. Once this point is reached, the helium atoms fuse to create beryllium, which then fuses to create lithium etc. creating the lighter elements of the periodic table.

From here one of two things can happen. It either becomes a sun or it becomes a planet:

1. If this process is left uninfluenced by outside forces, it will continue to accumulate more hydrogen from outside and increase its mass. The pressure and temperature at the core eventually get so high that it causes the hydrogen layer to ignite and it becomes a sun.

2. If it is caught in the gravitational pull of another sun before it has accumulated the required mass to ignite, it becomes a planet.

When it begins to orbit a sun, the solar radiation interacts with the outer most layers by pulling electrons off the atoms and adding them to others in a process called ionization making them unstable. This allows them to bond with other elements in their neighbouring layers, creating molecules.

As the molecules form in the outer layers, they become heavier and fall towards the centre. This enables them to interact with a variety of layers they were previously cut off from, allowing for the creation of more diverse and complex molecules.

As these molecules increase in size and move closer to the core, the increased pressure turns them into liquids, creating a liquid 'ball' at the center. As the central mass of liquid grows and expands, the surface gets further away from the heat and eventually freezes over.

This is what enables it to become a planet instead of a sun as it creates a barrier between the hot core and the gasses that would have ignited. The core is now free to keep increasing temperature and pressure in order to make new elements which will get heavier and heavier until eventually liquid iron is created.

Due to the intense heat and pressure, the iron at the centre remains in its liquid (molten) state but as it grows and the outer parts move away from the core it cools becomes solid. The now solid outer layer of iron starts to spin slower.

Some of the iron atoms in the liquid center are in their plasma state, free of electrons and so have a positive charge. As the central liquid mass spins, this positive force pulls on the electrons from the solid layer which causes them to move from atom to atom generating an electric currwnt. This creates an electromagnetic field around the planet and blocks the solar radiation from allowing the outer gases to form any more molecules.

At this point we have the foundation of an early planet consisting of a fast spinning, central mass of moltern iron surrounded by a slower spinning layer of solid iron, followed by a slightly faster spinning liquid layer and finally a quick moving gas layer.

Solid matter is unable to expand like liquid and gas, and so the pressure inside the core builds until it breaks through a weak spot, spewing molten lava up into the ocean where it cools into a solid and seals up the hole. This moment of extreme temperature in the ocean layer is the catalyst that allows for further chemical reactions and new combinations of molecules to form. The pressure builds again and this cycle keeps repeating. The solid iron casing gets larger and larger as more iron is spewed out onto it, raising underwater volcanos higher and higher.

Eventually they will reach the oceans frozen surface and blow holes through the ice. The high temperature converts the liquid molecules into gas creating steam and smoke which are caught in the spinning gas layer. Being so far away from the gravitational pull of the core, the centrifugal force of the spinning gas layer pushes the steam and smoke higher and higher. The magnetic field however, stops them from floating out into space and they become trapped, creating an atmosphere. This creates a greenhouse effect that traps in the sun’s heat and as the planet slowly warms up, the oceans frozen surface starts to melt. The thawing process starts at the equator where the magnetic fields protection from solar radiation is weakest. The last areas to thaw out are the north and south poles where the magnetic field is strongest.

The large variety of molecules are mixed together in a warming 'soup' allowing for further combinations increasing in complexity eventually creating 'life'. As parts of the solid iron layer rise out of the oceans it creates 'land' which becomes covered in a variety of differwnt molecules. This creates the foundarion necessary for plants to evolve and over time the environment allows for life in the oceans to migrate on to land.

Eventually the core is unable to accumulate any more new material to continue production. The outward pressure of its slowing expansion gradually weakens and gravity causes the solid layer to crack and fracture, pulling it towards the center starting with the 'inner' side. This causes the magnetic field, therefore the atmosphere, to shrink and pressurises the gas layer which causes it to heat up. The global effects of this include things such as global warming, chaotic weather events and an increase in natural disasters.

As the solid layer contracts it squeezes the remaining liquid iron until it finally  gives out, spewing onto the surface through every volcano on the globe. With nothing to generate it, the magnetic field vanishes and gas layer, including the atmosphere, drifts off into space. The combination of molten iron everywhere and solar radiation evaporate all liquids and burn everything else. The planet eventually cools leaving behind a rocky wasteland with nothing but extinct volcanos as big as crators and dried up rivers as evidence of its former glory.

Throughout this whole process, the planet is slowly moving closer to the sun where it will eventually be consumed by it. When planets first begin to orbit a sun it is at a great distance. They are initially made of gas and although their size is massive, they have a low density and the gravitational pull of their sun has a much weaker effect. As the gas giant is compressed and become smaller, its  density increases and so does the gravitational effect from its sun and it gets pulled closer. Eventually the planet becomes so dense that it is pulled into the sun. Once the sun has 'consumed' enough planets, its core becomes so heavy that it cannot withstand its own gravity and it collapses and explodes, resulting in a supernova that disperses the vast amounts raw material out into space allowing for this process to start again.

Looking at our own solar system we can see the different stages that each planet is currently at.
Furtherest away we have Uranus and Neptune which are 'ice giants'. They have developed the ocean layer that is currently frozen and has not yet thawed.
Next we have Saturn and Jupiter which have atleast partially thawed their ocean layer and created atmospheres, yet it is unconfirmed whether their solid layer has reached the surface yet.
Lastly, closest to the sun we have Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury. Although Earth has not yet reached the end of the process, Mars and Mercury have which is evident by their extinct volcanos and dry river beds. Venus is currently on the very last phase due to its intense volcanic activity and high pressure atmosphere.

I'm sure it could be polished up better but that's the grunt of it.

Thoughts?

thoughts?
instead of helping each other ,putting the money where it should be and not scare mongering non stop Waring with each other we should build spaceships together, huge ones, and eat a lot of power plants along with it.Something is holding everything back ,messing around and feeding us crumbs of time.First mars missions are soon.My friend is on the flight in the 20's lol.

but spaceships or not(obviously not) Power Plants will do just fine by them self's also.
