Yeah, and I know that everybody likes different music; but this is something you just cannot dislike Here some more advice:
- Rolling Stones: big no-no for me; their music just sounded so sad. - Nirvana: great music; but don't look at a poster of him; I got so sad to see so much pain in his eyes. - any type of metal; it sounded soooo repetitive and, sorry to say this, fake... - I don't know why, but any music of the sixties-seventies is great; I don't care why, but it just sounds great: Jimi, CCR, Grateful dead, and my favorite: Ten years after!!! - Mozart is great too; I don't like it too much when I'm sober; but in the right conditions; it kicks ass!
- And my last tip: Don't ever, under any condition whatsoever, listen to rap-music!!! I tried a song of Eminem once, I can't say how much I disliked it... Al those negative vibes, violence... Aaaaaaargh turn it off !!!

- Bob Marley - Stevie Ray Vaughan - Superfunk - Jimi Hendrix - Sphongle - Mozart - Vivaldi - Ravi Shankar - Creedence clearwater revival - Sounds of nature - Aphex twin - Chemical brothers - St Germain - some indian chants - some bamboo flute sessions, didgeridoo sessions (no techno mixes or some shit like that; didgeridoo wasn't meant to be computerized!)
I like some diversity; it always seems to make the experience one to remember!

Someone else mentioned Agaetis Byrjun, also by Sigur Ros.. but I definitely think ( ) is better for tripping.
can't go wrong with Pink Floyd either.. my personal favorite song is Echoes.

Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother takes the cake Shpongle - that is some good stuff Pink Floyd i think is the best of all time though. Every Album kicks ass, even the stuff after Waters. But that's my opinion.

I find Pink floyd a little over the top to be honest.. And I definately would not put Radiohead on. I'm somebody who only wants some positive vibes out of music; and my experience is that I don't get that from Radiohead or Tool ... You have to explore yourself; I only made this post to show that not everybody likes the same thing

Syd's Floyd is THE Floyd - the whole 'Piper at the gates of Dawn' albim from start to finish is just perfect for Lucy.
However, I like something beaty and bouncy for shrooms - try The Orb's first LP with Little Fuffy Clouds on it..
I also really like late 60's stuff - Small Faces are great as 99% of their songs just have the most amazing happy, silly, jaunty (theres a word you don't see often ) vibe to them - pure genius!

As far as tool goes... I love listening to them tripping, i suggest their cover of the led zeppelin song No Quarter... it will blow your mind.
And for the person that asked for pink floyd song titles... "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" from "Wish You Where Here"... oh my god!
Hendrix and Cream are always good, and Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride"

some of my favorite trip albums:
Bj?rk's Greatest Hits - I was convinced she has the voice of some kind of angelic alien while I was tripping.
Doug Martsch's Now You Know - Lead singer of Built To Spill's solo album, really happy organic sounding rock, easy-listening.
Radiohead's Amnesiac & Kid A - Each song sounds very different, lots of different vibes are produced.
Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon - Cliche, but great!
Aphex Twin's selected ambient works 1 - odd vibes from this album. also, certain tracks from the Come To Daddy ep are fantastic for tripping (flim, Bucephalus Bouncing Ball, Iz-us). He has tons of music that I'm sure would be awesome, but I haven't listened to it under the influence yet.
Funkstorung's Appetite for Destruction - First album I ever tripped to, really lush ear-fuck music.
Boards of Canada's Music Has the Right to Children - odd psychedelic mellow music.
Sigur Ros's ( ) - Whoever mentioned this was correct. This is a great trip album.
Soundtrack for A Clockwork Orange - some of the most famous clasical music. Very good. == == == these albums were really good to trip to:Deftones - White Pony Tool - Lateralus
Worst trip music: KORN- my buddy had the nerve to put that shit on while tripping. I had to change it, fast. I am a "to each his own" person, but, please NO KORN WHILE TRIPPING!
What I want to listen to next time I trip: Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica cLOUDDEAD - 10 Ravi Shankar and Philip Glass - Passages Brain Eno - Music For Airports 1 Broken Social Scene and if I build up the courage, I might listen to some wild evil John Zorn musik.

I am biased toward Sublime, best stoner music imo, and I haven't seen them mentioned yet.
40 oz. to freedom is too lyrical and Self-Titled is too depressing but Robbin' the Hood is just right for shroomin'. That CD inspired one of my favorite trips for the euphoria; I can still recall feeling so excellent that I thought the trip justified human existence. I will never forget that no matter how down I am -- there will always be another shroom trip. The CD definitely was at least partially responsible for the great vibes as my trip partner felt the same way as we listened to it at sunset along with the after-peak bowl.
Also, Frank Zappa is cool.

I've only had one shroom trip so far, but the best tunes I heard whilst I was up were Despite the Tears by Jeff Buckley, When Will They Shoot? by Ice Cube and Eleanor by Elefant, which can be downloaded for free at www.epitonic.com. Hope you like

I'm gonna have to look into this..thanks Shpongle! (Or anything else involving Postford, is a given..) Radiohead Massive Attack Delereum Ticon - Aero (I love this album) Boards of Canada Ott Shulman Entheogenic Boisphere TOOL
