Found these two actives on a bush walk around Palmerston North growing out of a twig about 300mm long.
That thing was like a mycelium blunt, broke it up and spread the bits around.

I know they are active but could anyone tell me if they are either subs or one of the other psilocybes?
I would print them if they are something other than subs.

As for the name, it is actually uncertain if P. subsecotioides is a variety of P. weraroa or not.

So P. subsecotioides is the more appropriate name, it is only suspected that P. subsecotioides is a variety of P. weraroa.

P. weraroa var. subsecotioides would be appropriate if it was certain that the species is a variety of P. weraroa, but it isn't.

Even more appropriate would be P. 'subsecotioides' as the species name was coined 'subsecotioides' by inski due to it's partial secotioid form.

Un-published names, especially in mycology, don't need the quotation marks however. But I do think you could use two quotation marks also, so I think P. "subsecotioides" works as well, but I suspect it's personal preference. I'm no damn English professor, but I do try.

Even P. 'subsecotioides' nom prov. inski is probably the most accurate title currently. As it addresses inski as the dude who came up with the nom prov.
