Yes they're a good looking species. I'll get some scale shots with the next update.

Update

Here's a scale shot of a wild specimen I took last season.
Caps are 10-20mm on mature specimens and they're around 80mm tall. A relatively small species which exhibits extremes of morphology in the wild.
Tall specimens growing from kangaroo dung in native bushland can grow to 150mm and caps to 30mm. They're usually found growing solo.

Those from horse manure fruit much more prolifically but often are much smaller. Most you can see in the pics below are under 50mm tall with caps under 10mm

Wow... beautiful. I put some more spores to agar today, I let my last culture get overgrown due to the holidays. Do you mind sharing what you used as spawn?

G'day Germs, I also started with spores on agar. I made 4 transfers until I had some good looking sectors to test. Wedges to WBS and cased 50/50 coir/verm that's it. I haven't grown mushrooms before so it's an easy species to start out with.

I'd love to get my hands on a print of these. I'm thinking about starting some cube patches this spring and a patch of these would be sweet.

A good way to extend your season. Once it gets too cold for Cubensis the Alutacea will take off. Sounds like you're sorted for a print otherwise I'm happy to help out.
for positive vibes all

Yup, ham has me covered
I'll probably do a couple trays in my gh, it's cold enough in there for my Pl. Columbinus so I'm sure the Ps. Alutaceae will do good in there too. I'd like to have a nice clone to start my patch with.

It's stinking hot and dry today (40 celcius) but I forced the Alutacea to brave the heat for a few shots
First pot is getting past its useby date.
Here's another container with fresh fruits. They are much thicker than the first container and fruits I typically find in the wild.

 fruits from underneath

 gill shots

Breathtaking pics mate. So is that also WBS cased with coir/verm in a flower pot and fruited outdoors? Those are some prolific flushes
