Awesome, good luck with your cultures moricz, I found strains that fruit on half strength MEA and made three primordia clones and also isolated three nice sectors from the same dish, those six cultures are what my next experiment with this species will consist of so I have high hopes:) Sorry, I don't consume psilocybin mushrooms so couldn't give any useful data regarding potency, when someone tries these fruit bodies I'll get some data.

Lovin those fruits inski, that is one sexy species.
How's domestication going for everyone? I just saw this post and boy do I wish I saw it sooner!
I'd love to work with other species one day, but cubes are keeping me plenty occupied right now...if only someone in my town shared the same love for this hobby as I do.

How about to send to Jan Borovicka ? He will be more than happy to see a cultivated alutacea in his study. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22345076

Psilocybe alutacea on cased Rye Grass Seed. There were some left over grains in the spawn jars from the experiments above and I wanted to see if this species would fruit directly from grain. The grains were soaked and then the excess water was drained off, a thin layer of coir was applied. Even in these warmer temperatures 16°- 25°c this species will readily fruit.

To me they don't look much different than cubensis macroscopically, other than the shaggier looking stipe and larger amount of veil remnants on the cap, but I'm not very good at identifying different species in the psilocybe genus. How are they in terms of potency and rate of growth?

They have that hamburger bun color/shape cap that you don't see in cubes also.
Great work!

Now that you said that, and I've looked at pics side by side, I see what you mean!

Thanks Mycolorado, this is just a small side project with the remaining grain from six spawn jars of isolated cultures, three in vitro primordia clones and three nice sectors from the same pinning dish. The individual cultures are in the fruiting chamber so it will be interesting to see how that goes:)

They're much more robust than typical wild specimens.
