Amazing! I gave up on mine - its way too hot here now. I put the cased grains I had in the fridge and they are still just chilking along with another jar of grains I forgot about and found after my last post, which Ill probably just keep in the fridge and see what happens when it cools down again (I still have spores to have another go next year anyway).
The moss casing is extremely cool by the way.

Thanks mate and also for the update on your grow. Temps are really the only limiting factor in fruiting this species. Hopefully next time you'll reap the rewards.
Here's something i found interesting regarding cultivated Victorian specimens vs SA.
Photo's taken 2 days after harvest.
as you can see there is very little bruising evident.
Compare to SA specimens.
Just 15 minutes after harvest. Specimens stain heavily where damaged.
The difference is quite extreme.

It would be interesting to find out the reason for this difference. Are all Victorian specimens behaving the same way and do you have multiple sources for the Vic material or do they all come from the one patch?
Could different growing conditions/substrates/casing layer give rise to different phenotypes and hence different degrees of bruising?

NYK, A 10 gram dose was not as potent. Comparable with cubes. 10 grams fresh for approx level 1 trip. The SA variety I once tried were a good match for P.subs.
It doesn't say anything for the potency of the Victorian variety or even for this collection. Infact being multispore I may have some very potent strains here which have not come to fruition or may do so in a subsequent flush. It's possible there are individual fruit bodies within the present flush which are extremely potent.
PN, yes.
Warrk, the latest grows are multispore from a single specimen I collected in the Grampians.
Phenotype are influenced by both environment, genetics and possibly substrate may have an influence too but I'm uncertain at this stage. The reason my recent grows are tall is because they were grown in a cellar with only ambient light. When grown in my mini fridge they're much shorter with a large pileus.

Just read every single page of this thread and am now very interested in this species, particularly the idea of attempting to naturalize it elsewhere. I saw only a brief mention or two of some outdoor grows, has anybody else had any notable outdoor grows? Success releasing it into nature/spreading?
What with the tolerance for freezing temps the OP pointed out in the OP, I'm very curious as to just how cold they can get? Can anybody speak to this? Can they take a solid freeze?
I know in the early days of the thread people were getting pissed about people asking for spores but has this taboo expired? I'm posting in the marketplace either way so figure whats the harm in asking here. I've got stuff for trade 
And I know you've gotten a million compliments but holy mother of god bobwastaken! Especially with the fact that you just started cultivation during this thread for the first time that is simply incredible/inspiring. Where's your TC tag/trophy-wife? I wanna see some bitches in your next grow pics!
